Went for dinner with a colleague after a couple of days of meetings, and this was the perfect place to relax and close down. The service was excellent and our waiter made a spot on recommendation with the restaurant week special. The combinations were extraordinary and the meal was a great way to top of the week. Highly recommend anyone in the area to go and even drive a little further than you might - its worth it!
Neighborhood food.
It is a nice place. Great food and drinks. As many other reviews it is a little bit over priced, however, you have to visit it, it is a nice place.
Quick Lunch
We popped in for a quick lunch and was impressed with the service, menu and food quality. We’re in a hurry and they were able to meet our request. Just wondering why they were not more filled up.
If going on Sunday, 10:30am perfect time. Got sat right away before the rush. Bloody Mary was good. Got breakfast Mac and chz which was amazing. Everything everyone ordered was great. Good service. Will return.
I did not like my short rib omelette, however I did enjoy my wife's red velvet waffles and fried chicken. We were in a large group and our service was great by a very chipper and friendly server.

We went for lunch on a Friday. Too loud and crowded inside so we sat on the patio. Really good food (pork belly in a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich!) and a great beer list. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed lunch with a girlfriend at this friendly neighborhood restaurant. Had the jungle gorilla burger bowl which for some reason appears under the salad section but really its a burger and fries over an iceberg lettuce smothered with chili con queso, jalapeños and topped with a friend egg - salad right! Delicious for sure! Shared the bread and butter pudding dessert which was delicious but the butterscotch sauce made it just a tad too sweet for us. Will return to sample more dishes for sure as the whole menu had some great sounding options.
I went to Liberty Kitchen for brunch. I had the salmon & cream cheese omelette & it was executed perfectly! I ended up with more food than I could eat & the waiters were all very nice & helpful. Only note for the future is that it was very crowded, but that's to be expected for Saturday brunch. I will definitely be back!
Met friends for drinks here about an hour before dinner menu was available. I LOVED a drink called "the white linen " holy cow . It is really dessert , made with frozen custard, pineapple infused vodka and amaretto and raspberry liquor. 2 and I was feeling pretty good . Dinner was delicious , I don't think you can go wrong with anything here.
We ordered the bigger than your ass platter! Everything was great except the chicken fried steak, it was a little tough. The devil eggs were great (very different) I really like the raspberry bacon jam on top!
Best oysters ever! The Mac and Cheese is out of this world. Really cool atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor dining options. Lots of great cocktails too!
Pure southern comfort food and oyster kitchen. I can’t believe I’ve lived here for nearly three years, driven by here hundreds of times, and never knew what a fantastic place this is! My mind and palate were blown away! Lunch was so good we came back for brunch the next day with our guys.
First time, my friend had the Fried Chicken Sliders and I had the grilled Mahi Fish Sandwich and a lettuce bun. The fries were crispy and hot and our entrees were filling and delicious.
From the bar where we were sitting we had a clear view of the goings on in the kitchen where the cooks and prep team were humming like a well established bee hive.
Everything they made looked amazing (hence the reason we came back so soon and will be back many times in the future)!
Do yourself a favor and don’t pass this place by!! You, your palate, and your tummy, won’t regret it!
At the original LK and it’s been awhile since we’ve been here... and so happy they have not lost any of the great atmosphere to go with the tasty menu. We love the fresh offerings of fish along w all the original comfort food. Poke is a neat twist. The pineapple infused Liberty vodka is great for cocktails...definitely won’t take so long coming back! We frequently sit at the bar to dine as they have good seating options and it’s a bit more lively watching the kitchen at work. There is extra parking in back as front lot is usually full. Love their selection of oysters, the wedge salad is one of the best n town and the brussel sprouts are killer.
First time here today and I love it! The 4 friends I ate with love each one of their meals. I loved my vegan soup. It was filled with potatoes, sweet peas, broccoli, cauliflower, grilled tofu! The soup came with white rice and asparagus salad. The salad is delicious and I will definitely try it at home!
We always enjoy ourselves at Liberty Kitchen!! This time was an amazing experince!! Everything we ate was delicious especially with the bloody marys. Seafood mac was outrageous, the fried chicken was spectacular and the po-boy was out of this world! My new love is the BACON JAM!!
Best oysters in the city. The ambiance is great for business meetings or a date. Clean and centrally located with super friendly staff. The food has incredible flavor and I reccomend this place highly.
I've always loved what this restaurant group has done in Houston. From BRC to Liberty Kitchen, they have always impressed with fresh local fare and fantastic food. If you are looking to eat on the cheap, their weekday happy from 3 to 6 in the afternoon is worth stopping by for.
Well I have to start with the ambience, this place have great vibes.
The menu is kind of complicated for someone like me (I'm a comfort food person) but My husband "translate" the menu for me.
We ordered the BTTL sandwich, crab balls (best in town for sure) and the American Breakfast (it was a regular breakfast nothing too amazing).
The overall experience was good, I will come back for sure but next time I'll try some seafood which looks so good and fresh.
The plates are BIG we took everything to go.
Our server, Frank, was kind and nice.
Loved this place! Came for Sunday brunch and had some sangria, east coast oysters, and their fried white gulf shrimp w/ slaw, fries, and hush puppies. Everything was delicious and the service was great.
The food was very good. Atmosphere was fun and inviting. The staff was friendly and happy!! I knocked off a star bc they were out of a couple items (breakfast potatoes and sangria) but first come, first serve, right? Lol
Check out my picture of my order: Red Velvet Waffles, Fried Chicken, Fried Egg, and Cheese Grits.
I thought it was a bit pricey but overall the food was very good quality and very fresh.
Waffle wasn't sweet (big plus for me), the batter on the chicken was light and perfectly golden and crisp.
I highly recommend this meal and this location!
My friends ordered traditional breakfast and the chicken sliders. We all cleaned our plates :)
I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars. Food was devoured by my partner and I in minutes. Extremely accommodating to our needs this evening. You are paying for QUALITY food not quantity. Ordered the surf and turf with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I cant compliment enough the kitchen, wait staff and the manager (Mark). Highly recommended!
