Fantastic all around. Loved the flavor selection. 10/10 would recommend to any bubble tea fan. Enjoy.
Boba is always fresh, order is always correct, and this place is always busy so you know they're doing something right!
There are so many boba places in Chinatown, but Gong Cha is definitely a top contender. There are lots of menu items, both traditional and modern, that rotate frequently so there’s always something new to try. The cold options are perfect for a hot afternoon in Houston. The place can be a little packed which makes it hard to find a seat sometimes, but they are made quickly and efficiently. The quality isn’t consistent and drinks can be sweet one day and bitter the next, but this may be due to new employees. Overall a very promising spot to fulfill your next boba craving.
My first time visiting Chinatown, there are so many boba shops there, I tried in both Austin and Houston, and I saw a huge selection on their menu, a great spot for boba in Houston. The staff was really helpful. We went late at night and there was a long queue, but it moved quickly.
We have been to Gong Cha countless times, both in Austin and in Houston, and it remains one of our top favorite spots for boba milk tea.
Vibe: Clean, modern, and simple look. I really like the informative schematic on the wall which demonstrates how the tea is sourced, processed, and brewed to cup.
Drinks: The pearl milk tea with black tea or oolong tea are our favorite drinks to get here - great balance of creamy milk and robust tea. Prices are also reasonable and dare I say relatively cheap now as most milk tea places continue to raise their prices. The boba itself is also among the best we have had, with great flavor and texture. We usually go for 50-70% sweetness because the 100% sweet is like saccharine sweet.
First visit here and I was delighted to see the large variety they have on their menu. I ended up ordering and trying the Brown Sugar milk tea (you can never go wrong with it!) with Boba. It was very sweet and creamy, I enjoyed every sip of it. The tapioca was spot on, soft and chewy, one of the best tapioca I’ve tried!
The shops environment is pretty laidback and chill, and for a Tuesday afternoon it was not so busy. Drink preparation was quick and staff was friendly. Please come by and take a peep and maybe get a treat! 😉
This place seem very busy the day I came in up to 10-15 people waiting in line but the drink coming out fast 2-3 minutes. Good luck finding a parking space in the front or around the store. It has some decorations and good warm ambience lighting. It also has enough space with a lot of tables and chairs. Staffs are working fast and hard since so many customers are waiting. I did choose the Pearl Milk Tea which was pretty good and boba was very chewy. I will try other drinks when I have my chance to coming back here again.
Have only had their drinks, but they’re always really good. They have a good variety of drinks and also offer seasonal flavors. Service is quick. Just can be hard to find parking in this shopping center.
Wow! Amazing Boba. We got the Creme Brulee Brown Sugar Milk Tea (50% sugar) with Boba. It was so good. It was the best Boba drink I have ever had.
Gongcha is honestly my favorite boba tea place for milky drinks. I love their creme brûlée brown sugar milk tea!! Or just their black milk tea in general! Their boba is SO sweet in the best way! Their bubble waffles are also so good. I come here so much!
This is one of my favorite boba places! Unfortunately we don’t live in the area, but it is a must whenever we come visit family. Would highly recommend their dirty brown sugar milk tea!
Gong Cha is a very good Tea restaurant. The employees were nice, friendly and helpful. The strawberry milk tea was delicious. I would recommend trying Gong Cha Tea restaurant.
