I was in town on business. I try to eat at a place unique to the area when I travel. I have had excellent ceviche in both San Diego and Mexico, but I have to admit the Campechana here was no slouch! I love shrimp and crab, and was not disappointed. I was pretty full, but I found room for the shrimp creole pie. As there was NO room left for the must-have pecan pie, I took it with me and had it on the plane (dinner of champions!). Sadly, I forgot my waiter's name, but he was attentive and friendly. I will definitely visit again!
Shelby was very knowledagle of the menu and described the food like art. The mesquite salmon filet was amazing, down to the crispy, charred pieces that I scraped from the iron plate. The squash and zuchini side was a yummy addition. The only thing that could have made them better would have been to toss them on the grill as well. My husband had the fried combo plate. His favorites were the crab and shrimp were his favorites. A little on the pricey side but worth it.
The atmosphere here is really nice. A train car is part of the building and it’s a really neat setup. We received great service and the food was good quality. We tried the gumbo and the crab, corn, pablano bisque. Both were filled with a lot of flavor and were really tasty. The prices here are a little high but you are definitely paying for quality as all the other food we saw here looks fresh and delicious.
First timer! We caught happy hour right before it ended and was able to take advantage of it. Our server, Emily, was very attentive and accommodating. Our food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I definitely will be back to try more menu items.
First time here and great experience. Food was delicious. Service excellent NY Scott and the manager who gave me a card with free meal for next time. First time I got this from a restaurant. Margarita was good too. Recommended
One of the best places I've ever ate. As soon as we were sat down archery quarter was taken along with our food order. Within 10 minutes of us ordering our food our food was brought out. It was amazing and I would definitely recommend anyone to eat here

Shelly was a great waiter. She was on a move the whole time we were there and she didn't fail to keep checking in on us.

Had a fun little birthday party with family. Enjoy the food had the shrimp etouffee. The others order the gumbo, combo, and catfish fried platter.
The onion rings and hush puppies are delicious.
The only downside of the place is that the conversation volume can be deafening during the busy hours.
Goode Company Seafood was recommended to me while my visit to Houston, it has a good selection of seafood with a southern twist. Their hush puppies and crabmeat pasta was great, wish they had added a bit more crab to the dish. The shrimp dishes were just okay. Overall, this is a decent seafood restaurant in Houston.

We love to sit on the converted train side. It's cool to see the train car on the outside.
My husband and I each got the amazing seafood gumbo and dunked the irresistible bread into the gumbo. We shared the 3 perfectly seasoned shrimp empanadas and the great tasting green beans with potatoes.
Not a spot of food left. Look forward to the next visit of perfect food and great staff.
It's been years since I've been here. Sat at the bar, and the staff was great. I ordered the Mahi special, and the flavor was good, although the middle of the fish was cold. Definitely will go back the next time I'm in town
Review is for the location at 10201 Katy Freeway #400. The food is delicious, and I love the smell of smoking mesquite wood that they use for grilling. It's like "food perfume"!!!! Gulf shrimp, Seafood Platter, fried green tomatoes with ranch dipping sauce, asparagus, Mesquite Skewer, onion rings. Fried or Grilled it's all YUM. The decor is light, bright 1950's retro nautical. I prefer downstairs, because the upstairs seating is a little bit claustrophobic for me. No windows, really closed in feeling. Overall, a Houston classic that should not be missed.
