Appetizer medley was delicious, as was the sweet and sour chicken. Sizzling Seafood was very good, but the scallops were gritty. Service was very good and extremely friendly. Atmosphere was a little dated and worn, but that did not detract from the food.
As a Chinese graduate student from Hunan, I strongly recommend this place. We ordered all dishes on their special dishes menu and we literally finished all of the food. Tbh, the food is not exactly cooked the same way as Hunan. But I would say it’s a great and delicious Chinese fusion food. The Braised pork belly with eggs is my favorite. Moreover, I love the environment, the atmosphere and the decent service.

Surprised at how well this compares to big city Chinese Food. Not as much foot traffic, so the time the cook has to make it perfect is plenty (making it better than big city Chinese buffet anyday). Good aesthetics and appropriate lo-fi. Polite and professional staff.
This is our 3rd day in the UP and I was hungry for Chinese food after not being able to find any Asian restaurants in Munising for two days. We ordered two entrees that just hit the spot. Kung Po chicken was just the right amount of spiciness for us, and the stir fried mixed vegetables with a light sauce were so delicious. We finished everything on both plates. We came on a Tuesday night. There was just another group eating at the restaurants beside the two of us, so it was nice and quiet. Hunan Garden did bring the Chinatown to us indeed.
Good food, good tea, good pricing, mostly good service just depending, but no soda fountain only canned pop for about a 1.50.
If your craving Chinese I definitely recommend this place. The crab Rangoon is wonderful and I had the best bowl of wonton soup which could have been a bit hotter in temp. Very reasonably priced!
Fantastic Chinese Food!! VERY reasonably priced. Won ton soup was amazing and the food portions are huge. You will leave very satisfied!!!!
