This place is such a home feeling.. THE PROGRAMS THEY OFFER TO WOMEN FOR REBUILDING THEIR LIVES AND FOUNDATION MADE ME BELIEVE I COULD STRIVE FOR MORE IN LIFE. I will always call this place my family. Every time I go there, it's like I never left!! Every staff member is incredible and the volunteers are so genuine. 20220321. @Dress4Success @YWCA is a fabulous, empathetic program that helps low-income people like myself get suited for job interviews. They provide 2 outfits from top to bottom (bra, shoes, outfit, accessories, purse) and once one gets the job, they provide 5 more outfits! The staff and volunteers are amazing, evolving, human beings. Mahalo mil. I'm truly grateful to this organization for all their support and patience. Went to the Dress for Success event at 10am
(get there early for the rush). Not just office/professional clothing but linen pants,skirts,tops and mostly upscale casual + shoes,bags and many of the clothes are top quality with tags.
Being at the DressforSuccess suiting for my interview coming up was a great experience! It was so laid back and I felt the passion and love from the workers. I got to do some little paperwork, we talk and got to know about the organization then tried on clothing, found really cute and professional clothes that fit and the workers were very helpful and the best stylers! It didnβt end there, then I was able to try on nice heels, get a bag and wallet and jewelry! I was blown away by how much was offered for a single suiting! Iβm definitely going to tell others about this place and refer some people as well! Job well done to the DressforSuccess crew!
I workout at the YWCA almost everyday! I love the friend atmosphere and the stunning structure of the building. It feels very comfortable and inviting. I also love Cafe Julia that is located in the building. The amenities and different selection of classes are absolutely amazing! They have a basketball court and a swimming pool. I will always recommend the YWCA! They are amazing!
A health center Oasis disguised as a Senior citizen center...not that that's a bad thing.
Aside from its very nicely newly renovated- with the help of it's own employees, the yoga/HITT/aerobics/etc. room looked very clean, fresh and up to date.
The weight room, full basketball court which also subs as another calisthenics room with kettle bells, jump ropes, medicine balls, lite weight dumbbells.
Showed its aged usage, but both were also very clean and its equipments, machines, and accessories were well maintained and in good working conditions.
Finally the awesome what looks like Olympic size pool...very inviting.
YWCA Laniakea is the no frills, unassuming, welcome to your Oasis of getting healthier home.
A lovely, graciously designed (by Julia Morgan) facility on the edge of the central business district. Decent pool and adequate gym, good locker room, friendly staff, on site Cafe named after Ms Morgan.
While it has no parking, the facility is near/at the nexus of standard downtown foot traffic and bus routes.
Very nice, attended a wedding. Really useful if you are already downtown.
Absolutely love this place! For lunch, a workout or a special event! They never disappoint!
