We went at around 10AM and, I guess they were just opening up so we had a very long wait. However, the cashier (with a warm smile) gave us a chicken sandwich to compensate us for the long wait. The food was great! The 16-piece chicken was around $43. Then we got two orders of Cajun fries. The chicken was moist and tasty and the outer crust was so delectable and crunchy! The fries were not soggy! They were crispy and hearty! We spent about $60, but it was worth it! The employees all looked happy and were full of aloha!
Visiting from Australia, which we mentioned to staff, so they showed great initiative and attentiveness by ensuring we had all the fixings for our meal, Diamond was a real sweetheart and was giving all the sass - Foodwise, I recommend the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, if you get the chicken combo, try half and half, the spicy is really good in terms of extra flavour over the mild and overall actually quite mild, even when you apply Louisiana hot sauce quite liberally. The coleslaw had an unexpected pickle component, which was surprising and super delicious and refreshing after the chicken and Cajun fries. 100% recommend and will absolutely visit again when in the states and this particular location if in Hawaii.
Chicken is almost always moist and crunchy, they almost always give extra too which is a nice bonus. The workers are always kind and give free stuff when certain things are unavailable or late. Only problem with this place is the drive thru can take a while sometimes.
Typical US fast food you get what you pay for. This location isn’t the cleanest have some of the night so fortunate in the dining area. However, the chicken sandwich is super yummy the red beans and rice can’t be vegan and I love the season fries with mashed potatoes and gravy.
One of the busier locations. Came during peak dinner time and while super busy, the two front counter staff were friendly but visibly overwhelmed. When I received my takeout, an item was missing but they were apologetic and rushed making the missed item. Food was freshly made and tasty.
The people who were working tonight were so sweet, efficient, and friendly. The place was sparkling clean and I didn't even sit down before my food was ready to go. But more than that they were all so sweet and kind. I was exhausted and in need of some friendly smiles and kindness. I went in for a yummy dinner for my family but I left with joy in my step and smiles on both my son's and my face.
Thank you team. Yall are great!!
Also, food was so ono!
5 stars, they said sorry that it took so long! They even threw in some free dessert! Hey Pensacola FLORIDA Popeyes.....Take note! The wait time was similar to the Pensacola folks, so we weren't sweating it... Apparently, ours sucks! Thanks hawaii guys for showing us what right looks like.
Popeyes is still the best fried chicken in Hawai'i in my opinion. Their chicken sandwich is amazing, too.
Of course, you choose 'spicy' at the window. I'm disappointed they removed corn-on-the-cob from the menu, but my favorite sides are mashed potatoes and rice and beans, anyway.
Chicken tenders were definitely not fresh and tasted as if they had been cooked and under a warmer for some time. I didn't complain though, ate them anyway and left.
Got tge chicken Strips and biscuits deal. Food was tasty and price was tolerable. However the last time I order it the chicken was thicker and a little, juicier.
