I had really good experience here. The service was really attentive and helpful. The food was very good. We had the wagyu beef, assortment of sushi and king crab legs. All delicious. The only reason for losing a star here is because of the price. I did feel like it’s bit too expensive for what we got, but then this is Hawaii so understandable.

This place has the freshest sushi and it’s made faster than anywhere I’ve ever been. So delicious. No shortage of Uni here. They have a great starter/app selection like Broiled Salted Makerel.

The fish was incredibly fresh and prepared beautifully. As a tourist, I was really hoping for some good sushi and Izakaya Kai was able to provide me with that. Although I do think the food is a bit overpriced, I am not surprised as this is a tourist area.

Had salmon poke and udon soup meal here, and sat at the bar. Food was great, no complaints there whatsoever, very fresh and flavorful. The service was subpar, however. I waited probably 10-15 minutes to even order (they were not busy, I was the only one at the bar). Each thing I needed from the server, orders, check, etc, took way longer than it should have. Food good, servers need work.

Best experience and food that I have had in a while in Waikiki. First time here and I will definitely be coming back for more. I really loved it.
The food is awesome, the service is Japanese style, great decor, and modern appeal. I came here with my boss and had a great time while eating Japanese steak on a hot lava plate with rice and all the sides.
I had a lemon chuhai to drink which was tasty and refreshing after a long day at work. My boss had Japanese whiskey and soda water.

Here is fantastic! Good service! They served another Udon when i was taking onion out. Food is exactly same as their exhibis. Also, i like the BGM. Highly recommand.
