A very nice place to visit during a hot summer day here at Waikiki. They offer varieties of ice products and comes with very good taste.
Since this was my first time visiting this store, I ordered the Pineapple sensation and oh my oh my...it was superb! Nice fresh Pineapple all over the shaved ice and a scope f Pineapple ice cream on the side of it, beyond and word I can describe how tasteful it was. 5 stars is all I can say.
Staffs here are very friendly and the environment is kids friendly, good place for family with tons of seating.
If you have not been here yet, you are missing out.
Ice Monster is an absolute gem in Hawaii! My visit to this spot was nothing short of amazing. The "Monster Fresh Mango Sensation" I ordered was not only delicious but also a work of art. It's evident that the staff here takes great pride in their creations.
What truly stood out for me was the consistent excellence of their offerings. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that Ice Monster lived up to its stellar reputation. Best shave ice I’ve ever had. Matcha was not too sweet, creamy and delicious. The boba was warm, fresh, amazing.
We came here twice during our 7-day stay. We had the matcha shaved ice during our first visit (as recommended by the sweetest uncle at the cashier) and my husband & I — both matcha lovers — agree that it was the best shaved ice we’ve ever had 🤯
We came back a second time for their best seller (mango flavour) and while it wasn’t my favourite, it tasted very fresh.
I love how the flavours are in the ice itself and not poured over like the typical shaved ice.
We had a lot of Shave Ice on different Islands and we love it, but Ice Monster takes it to a whole new level. My wife and I shared the Monster sized Mango and was so good with all the different stuff that goes in it. It doesn't melt down and become a soupy mess like Shave Ice, it was fluffy till the last bite. I don't know what kind of sorcery this is, but we're going back tonight for moarrrrRR. The line was long, but it moves pretty fast.
Been craving to come back to Hawaii to get our fix of Ice Monster. There’s lots of places for shave ice but this Taiwan style is top notch. We ordered the papaya flavoured and it blew our minds. Need to try the other flavours like mango and green tea before we leave.
Me and my family loved this place! It was almost like a nightly routine to come here if we had time or weren't exhausted from our day. The owner (I'm assuming he is the owner) who stands outside greeting people and sometimes works the register is so welcoming and friendly, I'm more than happy to give my money to someone with a positive attitude lol but the shaved ice is so good and refreshing, definitely worth your money and in my opinion the wait time isn't bad even with how packed it can get here. I highly recommend giving this place a try!
Even when I went late at night, this place had plenty of business. My mom had told me about this place being popular and, being the fan of desserts that I was (and still am), I gave it a try.
My selection was a large serving of the Fresh Mango Sensation. It included a hearty serving of mango shaved ice, a scoop of mango sorbet, panna cotta, and fresh mango and the store’s mangosauce.
I found this to be incredibly refreshing. The dessert was plenty sweet and had no shortage of fruity flavor. I rarely have panna cotta for dessert but I found this to be pretty creamy without compromising its solid structure.
I won’t lie, this dessert was pricy (over $15). That said, I was in Hawaii on vacation; an opportune moment to splurge. If you ever visit Honolulu, this would be a must visit to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Literally the best shave ice you will ever get! The shave ice starts in a block of ice, but the difference between this place and others is that the ice is already flavored BEFORE it is shaved!! So maximum flavor saturation and consistency is happening. Their flavors are incredible, staff is made up of the nicest people, and portion sizes are awesome. While we were there, we tried the pineapple, matcha, and strawberry which were all fantastic! I would have gotten mango next if we didn’t have to leave. We have returned from our trip to hawaii and I’m still dreaming about this place. DO NOT PASS IT UP!!!!
