The spicy ramen was good. I normally don’t enjoy chashu in my ramen but this one was super tender and didn’t take away from the ramen. The dumplings came out after the ramen even though it was an appetizer so I took it to go. Still enjoyed it even reheated.
The restaurant is small and the table placement is awkward but I guess it works for the space. There’s only 1 person up front who took care of all of the tables so I had to constantly wait for refill on my water. Almost asked her to just leave the pitcher. Lol. They do add a lemon to the water without asking so if you don’t like that, be sure to mention it! I also asked for extra noodles but couldn’t tell if there were any extra. Next time I will ask for it on the side so I can see the difference.
All in all, it was an okay experience. I wouldn’t drive out of the way to go back but if I’m in the area and the ramen restaurant I enjoy is closed, I might swing by for a bowl.
Oh yeah, they give you fried mochi balls with your check. At that point I was super full and it was too hot to eat so I took it to go. It was okay.
We love eating here! The service is excellent even when they are packed. The prices are better than most ramen places and they do not sacrifice taste quality either!
If you ever and I mean want ever real ramens and not that add hot water to it mess you get at grocery stores then come HERE!
The place is small but the ramens are indeed the real deal. They are authentic and you can see the spices. It's worth the trip to go here. My family and I went twice.
Worth the drive from Waikiki! The Pork Belly Ramen was excellent and the spicy beef was good; the Gyoza and sesame balls were yummy! If I lived on Oahu I’d be back for more but have to keep trying as many places as possible.
Small and hidden away, but this place is amazing! The food is fresh, full of flavor, and fresh. Gyoza was soft, curry had a perfect blend of spices, and their variations in ramen leave you curious about all the types you haven't tried.
This area has many locally owned gems located in the unassuming strip mall. We stopped here based on the reviews. We were quite impressed with the food and packaging. The people working were wearing masks and using a glove when taking our credit card. They do change an additional fee for credit cards.
The way the cashier packaged out food was neat and organized. She even put it all in a box and securely taped it so all arrived in perfect condition. We orded several types of ramen, all were tasty. Katsu chicken curry was very good and plentiful. Fried rice was different than any I have had before, would have been happy if we only had the fried rice. Gyoza was enjoyed by my son, it wasn't my favorite. They also gave us sesame sweet balls, the adults liked them the kids didn't. My kids usually don't care for sesame.
This is a small place you might expect to see on Diners, D and Dives.
Me and my cousins came here for the first time and it’s a great ramen place compared to our previous experience. Great service as well as great food! Thank you!
Very nice Service and delicious ramen! Tonkotsu Ramen($12.95) with Fried rice & Gyoza set($8) was very good.
I absolutely love this place! A friend recommended it to me and I'm glad I decided to go. The ramen and fried udon were so good and their fried mochi balls are my absolute favorite desserts. I'll definitely come back here again.
Coming straight from Japan, I’ve been looking for decent ramen and Japanese curry. Chef’s Ramen is by far the closest I’ve come! I had the miso tonkatsu ramen, and while I wish the dashi was a bit richer and more flavorful, it was really good! The noodles were perfect, the pork was a bit thick but tender. We got the chicken cutlet curry and rice for our kids (big Coco Curry fans) and they LOVED it. The first curry they’ve eaten since leaving Japan! The gyoza was also delicious. Will definitely be ordering from here again!
