I am very happy Zippy's Vineyard is in a very convenient Downtown Honolulu location with parking for walk in customers and efficient phone in orders with easy Drive Thru window pickup. I like Zippy's friendly staff and good service. Zippy's has great food & good prices. Senior discount too. They even have a Napoleon's Bakery there. Zippy's any where on this island will always be the place I prefer to eat at. The service, food and the people who work at Vineyard are the best. Dining room staff to the take out staff are excellent.
When visiting from the U.S. Mainland, I usually visit this Zippy's location because it's close & convenient to where my relatives live. Service is usually fast & efficient, the restaurant is reasonably clean, and the menu selection and quality are excellent. As a creature of habit, I usually order the Korean Fried Chicken plate ($17.65, Sept. 2023). A somewhat healthier version is the Korean Chicken Salad ($16.45). And we usually check out the bakery selection (Napoleon's Bakery) for something sweet to take home.
Ate Spaghetti and Chicken Mixed Plate for $10.25 tax included. The price was great and the food was great too. My tummy got filled and I am all satisfied. This is a real cheap eats.
Great zippys! Nice location I can walk to from downtown/chinatown, and the service was great, and the food came out quickly. It's hard to find better hawaiian plates at a lower price. Napoleon bakery is located inside also. Seems like they close from midnight-6am.
Excellent service. Great tasting food. The fried saimin. Onion rings and chili hotdogs rice and Mac salad is my goto!
Great Hawaiian comfort food at a reasonable price. I’m never disappointed when I come here. The service is good and the food ales me happy. I love the Korean fried chicken plate. It scones with rice and one side. I usually opt for a side salad. The chicken is perfectly crispy and has just the right amount of sauce. Like other Zippy’s locations the service is friendly and efficient.
We visited Zippy’s just after the normal lunch period. Service was fantastic. Seating was very convenient was a large amount of seating available. I had a bowel of clam chowder which was perfect for a main course. For me, a cup of chowder would be a great side dish. This location was divided into different sections. A huge main dining area, a take out area and bakery which I thought was a perfect set up.
First time trying this place out since I haven’t been in the area and my brother said it’s good. Can confirm. I had the Chicken Trio which came with Fried Chicken, Chicken Katsu, & Korean Fried Chicken. Mostly wanted to try the last two and man are they good, they give you some BBQ sauce but the chicken doesn’t even need it. Crispy outside with a tender inside. I will most likely come back again before returning home!
The staff is always nice here and for the most part the food is normally good. This particular time we ordered though the laulau plate was not up to par and they missed my Mac salad in my mini chicken plate. The chicken trio plate was good though. The manager rectified the situation by sending us a gift certificate for our trouble and for use at a later time which was much appreciated! Still highly recommend this zippy's as we dine there at least once or twice a month at the very least and the food is always spot on and the customer service is always great! I think this was a one off regarding the issue with the food.
Always my go to for comfort food. I worked at this location for 10 years prior to working Fedex and it was a great experience. Great friends and memories and plus this is where i met my wife while she was a bakery clerk and i was a floater.
Love Zippy's. Fourth time to Hawai'i, and my son goes to school here, so he goes often. Very good food for a reasonable price.
