Zippy's Restaurant

When visiting from the U.S. Mainland, I usually visit this Zippy's location because it's close & convenient to where my relatives live. Service is usually fast & efficient, the restaurant is reasonably clean, and the menu selection and quality are excellent. As a creature of habit, I usually order the Korean Fried Chicken plate ($17.65, Sept. 2023). A somewhat healthier version is the Korean Chicken Salad ($16.45). And we usually check out the bakery selection (Napoleon's Bakery) for something sweet to take home.

We visited Zippy’s just after the normal lunch period. Service was fantastic. Seating was very convenient was a large amount of seating available. I had a bowel of clam chowder which was perfect for a main course. For me, a cup of chowder would be a great side dish. This location was divided into different sections. A huge main dining area, a take out area and bakery which I thought was a perfect set up.

The staff is always nice here and for the most part the food is normally good. This particular time we ordered though the laulau plate was not up to par and they missed my Mac salad in my mini chicken plate. The chicken trio plate was good though. The manager rectified the situation by sending us a gift certificate for our trouble and for use at a later time which was much appreciated! Still highly recommend this zippy's as we dine there at least once or twice a month at the very least and the food is always spot on and the customer service is always great! I think this was a one off regarding the issue with the food.
