Is it worth the price? No, but you’re in Hawaii and you need to attend a luau. Premium seats are worth it. The earlier you book, the better seat you’ll get. Everyone was respectful and willing to take pictures. Before the luau started there were activity stations where you could learn about Hawaiian history. I enjoyed the multiple courses of food but like other attendees stated, it isn’t the best. The chicken of last year seemed to be a Cornish hen cut in half. Shredded chicken seems to be on the menu now. Drinks are delicious and free for I believe three drinks each person. If you’re in Hawaii, and especially staying at the Royal Hawaiian, attend this luau.

The best Luau I've been too, and I've been to many. The location was absolutely beautiful, with the backdrop of the gorgeous Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head for sunset. The show was well put together, a great balance of entertainment throughout the evening. For dinner there was "storytelling" covering the history of the islands, with music, singing and Hula. Later, after we finished dinner, the show had a lot more energy, with Tahitian and fire knife dancing under a starry Hawaiian night sky. It was perfect! Dinner was Pacific Rim style. My kids, normally picky eaters, enjoyed the food, to my surprise. We traded a couple items but there was plenty, with nice presentation and great variety. My Mom has allergies and the chef prepared a delicious plate for her dietary restrictions. The staff did an amazing job. Our server, Grant, checked on us often was on top of any requests throughout the entire evening. The supervisor, Nicole, stopped by and took some photos of us to capture the memorable event. She was truly a joy, full of smiles and made us feel complete at ease. She was even able to find some fresh milk for my daughter. Aha 'Aina Luau was a perfect balance of entertainment, food, service for a great family event in a stunning location.

This was a very special event for us. We were celebrating our anniversary and as you can see in one of the pictures the Royal Hawaiian made it special for us when they brought the desert out. The entertainment is what this is all about. The drinks were very tasty but the food wasn't to our liking. The chicken was dry and salty as weas the pork. Everything else was tasty. We were suffering from jet lag and were thinking of leaving early as we were both off our schedule. Glad we stayed. The final part of the show was the fire dance and this guy was amazing. The entire show was spectacular. Would attend the Luau again no problem.

Heard a lot about it... And it DELIVERED! It is $100 more per person than other shows but it is definitely worth it and you get what you pay for from food, drinks, and show. Very interesting history of the island presented in a fun way. Kid friendly and they will enjoy the fire show.

100% worth your time and money to go to this Luau. We had an amazing experience! The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and accomodating. The food was delicious and the show was beyond fantastic. It was a perfect balance of explaining the history of Hawaii while showcasing some incredibly talented performers. We would go again in a heartbeat!

This was my first experience at a Hawaiian luau and it was fabulous, the place is marvelous with a beautiful view of the beach and the sunset, very friendly staff at the luau itself, the dancers are so professional and the show is pretty entertaining and interesting if you like the Hawaiian history, the food was great and they have a variety of options for vegetarian people so there are good food for everyone here, the sunset views are simply amazing and you will love the ambient here. I have to recognize that it's not a cheap experience so keep in mind that, but it's all worth it so you won't get disappointed. Usually you can make your reservation at the hotel where you are staying in so it's not necessary to buy the tickets at the place of the show. Great experience, excellent food, friendly staff and beautiful show. 5/5

This luau has fresh, cooked to perfection food, and a wonderfully entertaining history of Hawaii and the Royal Hawaiian Resort. It was walkable for me to get to this luau, and there are less expensive options.

Friendly service. Beautiful atmosphere. The first plate of food was excellent. The second was more oily, but still good , and probably cantered to the taste of mainland Americans. The show combines some Waikiki history with the usual hula and fire sword show. We all enjoyed it.
