This is hands-down, one of the best gay clubs I’ve ever been to in my life not only are the dancers amazing the drinks are awesome. They have great food great atmosphere. There’s a reason why this is one of the best kept secrets in Honolulu .
So, I don’t normally write reviews on bars, usually it’s on restaurants so this is one to take in.
I used to formerly work in the nightclub scene similar to here so I know what is to expect. Cons, pros, etc
First off, a $20 cover charge is a little much. In NYC, cover charges for a club similar are $10 MAX. I found 20 to be a bit excessive but I’m visiting and I heard this was the club in the area to go to besides a hole in the wall.
I gotta say, the space is huge. Different rooms with different music. It’s nice because if you want to cool off, you can go into another room that’s not the main room. So that was nice.
Upon reading the reviews, they’re true when it comes to the clientele. I was shocked to see mostly straight guys here, little out of the ordinary from what I see in NJ/NYC which you seen none but what didn’t make me uncomfortable was that my experience personally, I didn’t feel judged. I was shocked to see that straight guys were dancing around with our community. It was an eye opener. On top of that, a little eye candy was good to see.
However, I could agree and see where people are coming from where this should be our bar and not there’s, but it could be worse.
Now, If you’re the type of person that is claustrophobic and doesn’t like to dance and bump into people this isn’t the place for you. Because of the extra straight guys that dance around all over the place, it could get annoying. But if your like me, I just push and dance around back!
It did get extremely sweaty and hot in there so as I mentioned, it will be a crowded like atmosphere especially on a Saturday night.
I personally loved the music. Whoever DJed on this particular night killed it. I like house and EDM and it was just the right amount of mixes.
Drinks are reasonably priced.
For me it was a 4/5. Mostly cause of the cover charge.
I went to Scarlet’s for my birthday and had the time of my life. From the moment you walk in the energy is amazing and the crowd is awesome. The dancers were fantastic and interacted with everyone and made it a great time. Even though it is a mixed crowd of lgbtq and straight people it was still awesome. I felt completely safe and comfortable here. I am glad Honolulu has a fun place like this to go to.
Great club. Lots of white guys. Lol. Seriously. The gogo with the glasses. Was told his name is Patrick but probably not his real name is really cute. Open Friday and Saturdays. They closed at 145am. Cover is 20 dollars.
First time there tonight and we all had a great time. The drag show was lit and the vibe was awesome. Everybody and everything was lit. A drink costs around $10. Besides that, the restrooms were just a bit trashed.
Went there last night to see Eureka O'Hara. Not going to lie, I was nervous about going based on some of the reviews, however, my experience was vastly different. The only time I heard security get loud with anyone was when someone was trying to exit the venue with an alcoholic drink in hand. It should be common sense that that is a no-no. I exited the venue multiple times with water and that was fine. I'm really shy and so awkward it hurts. Still, I had a blast and found the staff to be polite and super friendly.
We had a great time at this place; music started out as straight edm but turned into some awesome club mixes. We were standing/dancing in front of the stairs though, and the bouncer kept rudely shoving me out of the way.
This is the place to go if your looking for a welcoming crowd, amazing service, and fun music 🎶 literally dance the night away here comfortably
We had a lot of fun here. Got to stand up on these cage-looking things that overlooked the club and also took these stairs by the bathroom to go up what seemed to be a small VIP balcony with a higher view of the club! The music was on point - one of the best DJs we ever vibed to. He just knew what to play and how to remix/transition the music. There is a dancefloor where anyone can just go up on. There is another walkway floor where drag queens and shirtless men peform! The drinks were good. The place was extremely busy on a Friday night. Surprisingly, there were a lot of us straights and people were definitely recognizing it, haha. Everyone had fun and there were no issues in our experience.
It's been a long time since I've had good modern American cooking. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something upscale but don't want to dress upscale.
