No better teri burger. I have been a fan of W&M's teri burger since I first tasted it in 1964... There is absolutely no better version of this burger anywhere. As far as I am concerned, it is the gold standard. I have even tried to duplicate it when far away from Hawaii. I can get close, but there is something special in the the original that is unique... the sweet-umame-char broiled caramelization that they get is perfection. The fact that they have been able to keep that niche in Kaimuki for over 50 years is a testament to the excellence of their product.
Hands down the best we've had so far of the burger joints. That means first of four. Reasonable prices, awesome food, friendly and true aloha feel. I honestly wish this was a diner to sit in and relax and perhaps the closing time stretched past 430. Great burger, not too big, not too small and the most amazing relish I've ever had. Get the royal yall, won't let you down. If you're bigger than I am (5'10" 225) get two!!!
Park at City Mill next door. Much better. Buy some home improvement stuff while your order is being cooked. Busy place, timing should be fine (not a McDonalds drive thru operation). Great burgers on the smaller side (model is pre-current obesity standard). Best fries in town. And no trans fat. Highly recommended.
Wonderful Burgers. It is just burgers but oh what burgers! I try to stop in for a bite every time I am in Honolulu. Nothing fancy, just a great meaty, hamburger. They have a wonderful sweat smoky taste that no one else seems to match.
The BEST. I have lived in CA, MN and NC and there is no burger like W&M. If you live on the west coast everyone raves about in and out....NOT even close.
I so happy to be home and can't wait to eat at W&M. We are going there for lunch today and I am stoked. :)
Tourist Review: this spot definitely did not disappoint! The HAL Special was delicious with its BBQ steak. The buns have a slight sweat taste to eat (almost like Hawaii buns). The Green River drink is refreshing but a little too artificial tasting to me. Parking is very limited and waves of people come in sometimes so you might not have a spot to park. There are very limited areas to eat there but there are no seats. You have to eat standing. Highly recommend eating here if you are craving a burger.
Amazing burger! HAL burger is an absolute must get. Really loved the combo of the ground beef with the steak strips on it. Light teriyaki flavor and every bite had a little bit of every flavor.
They’re Mac salad was not my personal cup of tea, the choice of adding green peas to a crab Mac salad is not something I would do. But I can’t knock a star off for just one item that I personally didn’t care for.
Try it yourself, but definitely get a nice juicy burger. You won’t be disappointed.

Classic Kaimuki, tasty burgers from my childhood... and now... new and improved vegetarian options for my omnivore friends. Highly recommend ❤ and happy to see them still thriving... I swear the cashier is the same lovely lady from when I was a kid! Absolutely makes my heart happy every chance I get to stop here!
My first time trying this place after years of going St. LOUIS drive in across the street. I must say they have straight up a great size burger patty that has enormous flavor and some great combos from double burgers to a Teri meat Burger that was my favorite. This is must try while in hawaii.
Pretty good burger, got the Hal Special with the sliced steak on the burger with only mayo. It wasn’t the juiciest burger I’ve ever had but it also was by no means dry. Could be better, maybe it’s bc I didn’t get all the ketchup and mustard and relish on it. It was good, very limited parking here, longish wait for food if you don’t call ahead, but very good overall value for a burger and definitely a fun vibe. 4/5
Favorite local burger joint !!. Feels almost non "fast food". I started eating burgers late in my life so I am very discriminating when I do decide to eat meat. I really like the teriyaki burger they serve here. The fries are always crispy and perfectly sized (not too thick and not too skinny). I also like that the fries are not too oily. My go to order is hamburger deluxe with ketchup and mustard.
Nestled between City Mill & Chaminade U, my lady friend said I'd like them. I got a Royal burger, she had a Cheeseburger with fries & we split a large Green River. Service was fast & friendly, yet nowhere nearby to sit. We'll be back soon!
This is a cult favorite. Been coming here since 1960. The best char broiled Bbq burgers, w Green River soda, Mac salad. Same menu.
One of those "must get" burgers on Oahu. Lots of memories coming to this Waialae/Kaimuki staple. Pro tip: order ahead over the phone as there is usually a line and a wait when you get there. Also, parking is at a premium so unless you get super lucky, expect to drop somebody off to get your order and come back to pick them up.
