I know some may feel this is not a true Luau, but I found it very informative and entertaining. The food is buffet style, decent but not extravagant. The dancers were excellent, with a variety of dances from different islands/culture, along with a historical explanation.

One of the better shows in Waikiki. The food was very good and they had something for every taste. They even had a kids section for picky kids. The preformers were sharp and did an exceptional job. This is about as good as it gets for a hotel luau. Tip, put the pulled pork in the ube rolls (the purple ones) it is fantastic!

I felt the starlight Luau was a great experience! The performers were talented, happy to be there and put on a great show. The food was delicious and service was great, we got a couple extra drinks comped as well. I felt for the price, I expected a little bit more, there was dancing, music and food, but not much more. I wish there was a pig being carried in or other Polynesian aspects besides the fire show and hula dancing. I also felt the atmosphere/location was a missed opportunity, I wish it was on the beach or better venue than entering through the parking lot where hotel employees were taking their smoke break. The show was fun and entertaining and not too long, meal was good, I just wish there was a little more bang for my buck.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Luau. The performers were great, and the fire dancers didn't disappoint. The food was okay as well. The Kuala pork was actually pretty tasty. We enjoyed it enough to get a second serving. We got there early and had to wait, but it wasn't too bad. Once the doors opened, we were seated fast.

We came to stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for our Anniversary. We booked the Luau for our Anniversary dinner. While I can't speak to the reviews left by others, especially from 3 months ago, we booked ours in advance, and went with the premium package (which I highly recommend) We got into a shorter line which got seated first and closest to the stage. The staff were polite and attentive. The food was great and was available for the entire performance. The drinks were stronger then expected. The performance was stunning (understatement) and once it was completed, the performers split off into pairs offering to pose for pictures as you departed. I would highly recommend this experience. As I sit and compose this review, I would also caution people that this is an outdoor event and tonight's performance looks to be moving indoors as there is rain in the forecast. This is not the fault of the Hilton or the performers. You should expect a certain downgrade based on unknowns and if you are going to be mad or disappointed by something that is even slightly off from what is advertised, then don't book it. Otherwise enjoy!

The luau was a wonderful experience with great food and incredible performers. Only 4 stars because the wait to get in was exceedingly and unacceptably long and there is absolutely nowhere to sit. Two people in our party walk with canes and standing in line for almost 90 minutes waiting for the doors to open was exhausting for them. There is plenty of room for the venue to add benches to make the experience more accessible for those with disabilities.

It was well organised and no one waited too long. The food was delicious, well cooked and there was plenty. The included drinks were good. The dancing and quality of the entertainment was excellent. Really good value for money IMHO

I had a good experience at the Luau. I purchased the diamond package, which got me close to the stage and first to the food line. I felt it was worth the cost. When you arrive, you are checked in and given you drink tickets. You are then escorted to the photo area where they take your picture with two of the performers. They later ask if you want to buy the photos for $40. You are then seated based on the ticket you purchased with diamond being closest to the stage. I was travelling on this trip by myself, but the others at my table were very friendly and made me feel welcome. It looked pretty full, maybe 80% of the seats filled. The food (a buffet) was better than I expected. I thought it was a good selection and tasted good. I thought the performance was very good and the audience definitely liked it. They were authentic and performed well. The MC was very welcoming and had a great personality. The only negative I have is the facility was not very authentic looking. The space was on the roof of the hotel conference center. The tables, chairs and stage served their purpose but had no Hawaiian or Polynesian feel. I would attend again.
