Tanaka Of Tokyo East

We celebrated my daughters achievements by going to Tanaka of Tokyo-East and we had Chef Jacob and server Brycen was truly attentive to our needs. I did not even need to ask for anything at all. We still love the shows that the Chef performs for us. I never get disappointed whenever I come and visit. The cake at Tanaka of Tokyo is delicious! My daughter love it and it is not a "must have" just to eat their cake. Any celebrations are worth going to this restaurant!

We were visiting as I’m sure a lot of customers who come to this restaurant do. We’ve been to a lot of Teppanyaki restaurants and this one is definitely one of the top ones we’ve been to. Micah was our chef and he was amazing. Very engaging. We had someone with us who had allergies to certain foods and Micah was careful with how he handled her food to make sure they were not in her food. Honestly Micah made the experience what it was, which was amazing, entertaining, friendly and all around good vibes. If we ever get the pleasure of being back in Hawaii, this will definitely be a restaurant we visit again. Micah is a 10/10.

This place is amazing. Everytime we travel to Honolulu we have dinner at this fine establishment. The food has great flavor, the service is on point, and the entertainment from the chefs are always fun and exciting. We highly recommend this place if you are visiting. We celebrated our baby moon and they surprise us with a beautiful cake presentation. The customer service is extraordinary. We will definitely come back.

It’s an expensive restaurant so we have high expectations. The atmosphere and service is good, and our chef is interactive and great with kids. However, the food just doesn’t taste good. Steak is tender (we upgraded all kids meal to Filet with $7 extra on top of $25) but lack of flavor. Added $6.5 per person to upgrade to fried rice and still doesn’t taste good. Before the meal, they provide “goldfish” to kids which I immediately take away. Why would you spoil kids’ appetite with it? Lastly, a nice lady took photo for us in the beginning of the meal and want to charge $20 per photo at the end. Overall, kids had fun but didn’t like the food.

This restaurant is a must do! The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I wish I could give service a 20 rating! The manager came to check on a several times and called us by name although we only gave our name for the reservations. The wagyu was 75 and was Australian but better than the Japanese wagyu I have tried before. This was the best meal on our Hawaiian vacation and one of the cheapest. No that's not a joke. We paid three times more for bad Korean barbecue. This place was awesome! Edit: I forgot to add every time I drink from my water glass it was full again. At one time I looked down I had a water, a green tea and Pepsi and a Miller light all at one time and when I looked at the bill I was only charged for the beer
