Ruth's Chris Steak House

Dawn Legler is outstanding. She took such good care of my husband and me, getting us a drink and coming to find us when there was room available at the bar. She is kind and gracious to all. I could see her positive interactions with everyone. We came back two more times….choosing the bar over the restaurant.

It was our second visit to this upscale chain steakhouse in Waikiki, Hawaii. The first time was 2 years ago. This restaurant is located on the first floor in a double storey shopping block. Surrounded by shops and other restaurants and only a few steps away from our hotel, Halekulani. Nice ambience and it was very busy on that Thanksgiving evening. Booking is essential. We ordered a tomahawk (again). We were glad that the tomahawk was on a special menu. Set meal for 2 with appetisers and desserts. It also came with mashed potato and creamed spinach. The steak was cooked to perfection. Fantastic quality of meat. Desserts were delicious too. Service was efficient. Staffs were friendly and attentive.

Went here with three other people, we ordered three Filets and one Ribeye (pictured). We also went around 5 and they had a dinner special where we got a Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, the steak, and then ice cream. This was a pretty reasonable price. The steaks were so freaking good. The Ribeye was good and larger than the filets, but obviously had some fat you had to cut off. Don't think you can go wrong with either one. We had the Beachcomber's Gold and Mai Tai for drinks which were good. Also, they brought us a complimentary dessert of flamed strawberries!
