What a wonderful experience! Orchids restaurant in Waikiki offers a delightful dining experience with its inviting ambiance and exquisite menu. The oceanfront setting adds to the charm, providing a serene backdrop for a memorable meal. The diverse menu showcases a fusion of flavors, and the presentation of dishes is impeccable. The attentive staff contributes to the overall positive experience, ensuring guests feel well-cared-for. We were not able to get a reservation to watch the sunset, but the beachfront setting would have been perfect! DH had the prawns and scallops and I had the Day Boat in Carta Fata (which is like a cioppino) cooked in an oven safe bag. Because it was cooked in the bag, the flavors were so well immersed in every single bite! We finished off dinner with a beautiful tiramisu and an affogato. The tiramisu was so beautifully presented and delicious! While it may be on the higher end price-wise, Orchids is a worthy choice for those seeking a combination of culinary excellence and a scenic atmosphere in Waikiki. If you plan ahead try to book a reservation during sunset or Sunday Brunch!

Recently, we had the good fortune of snagging a last-minute reservation at Orchids, a renowned dining spot. The experience was nothing short of remarkable, with attentive service and exceptional food. The highlight of our meal was the prime beef filet tartare, which was rich in flavor and expertly prepared. We were equally impressed by the scallops and prawns, which were cooked to perfection, and the day boat carta fata, a dish that was both innovative and delicious. For dessert, the tiramisu, ingeniously presented as a chocolate-covered ball, was a delightful surprise. Additionally, the affogato provided a smooth and satisfying end to our culinary adventure. Each dish stood out not only for its exquisite taste but also for its presentation, making our dining experience at Orchids truly memorable.

There are plenty of nice restaurants in Waikiki, but this one is well worth the visit. I truly felt we got what we paid for with excellent service, food, drinks, and view. The short rib ravioli and Iberico pig were perfectly balanced and incredibly tasty. We would love to come back and do the full tasting menu some time. Cannot say enough good things about this place!

We chose to do brunch here on the morning of my husband’s birthday and it was our last day at the hotel. Orchids is an upscale restaurant situated at Halekulani Hotel. It is on the ground floor, has a beautiful decor and nice vibe. We were booked for 10am and it’s already busy. Booking is essential. While having brunch, guests were entertained with live music on the background. There was a pianist playing on the grand piano which placed on the left side of the entrance. That was very entertaining and created a lovely atmosphere. Their buffet brunch has a good selection of food. The oysters were so plump and juicy. Roasted prime rib and turkey were cooked to perfection. So moist and tender. I also tried their popovers which is similar to Yorkshire pudding. But I must say we were a little disappointed. The food was lacking in taste and flavour especially the crab legs. Also for the price, we expected for a better spread. This is my opinion. People don’t have to agree with me. In contrast, their desserts were delicate and delicious. Halekulani coconut cake is the best. Staffs were all very attentive and efficient.

Located inside the Halekulani, this is a great restaurant. Causal during the day and fancier at night, this would be a nice classy place to go. Make sure you have a reservation. If you are lucky you’ll get a great sunset view. The seabass was amazing, the sautéed mushrooms were out of this world good, and the dessert was so, so good! I can’t remember the name but I’ll post the pic. Enjoy!

Stunning hotel restaurant and breathtaking views to match the decor and service from A to Z. Class all the way from the way they refill your coffee by covering the spout w a napkin to avoid any spill or contact, to the refined elegance in mannerism, Orchids serves deliciousness w refinement amped up.

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Service was friendly (not too casual or formal). The food was really good! Especially, beef cheek stew was so tender and delicious!!! At the end, they prepared completely coconuts cake! I love it☺️ The atmosphere was so great too! I recommend for your special day💓

We were told to try its Sunday brunch by our Uber driver when we arrived. Unfortunately, we got no clue about reservation since we stayed in the hotel for the whole time. We never thought a breakfast buffet would need a reservation, but anyway, we went early enough so they allowed us to take a table in the living room, which got no views at all and we are partially facing the bathroom with people walking by all the time. So, the food is good, it’s pricey but a fancy experience, and you truly can’t eat very much for a breakfast. Some of the ladies who work in the restaurant reminded me of the ladies work for the Asian royal family, even though you are the princess, they are your real bosses. 🥲 Anyway, make a reservation, enjoy your breakfast by the ocean, or save the money and buy yourself a fancy gift in Waikiki. 👍

We had a great experience with Orchids. I would say the food was very well presented. The flavor was good, but not extraordinary. Overall, the Sea Bass with lemon caper was the favorite dish of the night and the tiramisu. Very beautiful atmosphere for sure. Romantic night out with the hubs. Not really recommended for small kiddos.
