My best dining experience in Hockessin so far. Zero criticism: 10 star service and perfectly prepared dishes. I was wowed by the pumpkin mushroom soup, the wedge salad and the lemon drop martini.

Love, Love, this restaurant. Had the pumpkin mushroom soup, which sounds weird but is outstanding. I had the short rib for dinner and my wife had the grilled eggplant. The short rib was very tender and delicious. The portion was good as well. My wife loved the grilled eggplant. Alcoholic drinks were very good. Service was a little slow. I think they were a little short staffed.

Had an excellent time this past weekend, even with how busy they were, wait times were not that much longer than expected. All staff was super friendly, cost was fair, atmosphere was that perfect hit between fancy and casual. Can't believe I grew up in Hockessin my whole life and never knew these guys were here. Will be back for sure!

We went on a whim, without reservations, but they were able to see us. Ordered the New York strip special and the lamb followed by creme brulee. The food was excellent, the meats cooked perfectly and the dessert was divine. Service was on the slow side, they seem to be short staffed, unfortunately that seems to be the norm everywhere these days. We will definitely return.

Yesterday, I had one of the best lunches of my life at the Back Burner. So many layers of flavor on a veggie burger! My friend loved her quiche and pumpkin mushroom soup. I wish that I lived closer!

Amazing! I had stuffed mushrooms (stuffed with crab imperial) only 4, but they were outstanding. I also had beet & goat cheese salad which was exceptional. The atmosphere is lovely. Staff were friendly and courteous. I had a wonderful experience.

It's an OK place. Food was good, wine list is OK and staff has yet to learn a couple of things about how to serve. Anyway if you don't go there with great expectations you'll have an OK experience.

From service to food the entire experience was HORRIBLE!! After waiting forever for drinks, we were told they were out of what we ordered. After placing a second order, finally went to the bar ourselves to get the drinks. Food tasted like I was eating a salt lick. My sister and I ordered the same thing, one came with sauce (terrible) and one without! Just a total nightmare.
