I love this place but my recent experience was sub-par. We ate on the porch on an extremely pleasant evening and our server was accommodating and did a good job of checking in. The U-peel shrimp were tasty and a great way to start a meal, although a little messy, but they provide plenty of napkins. The problem was with my swordfish. I was not asked how I wanted it prepared and should have thought to tell them. The only way to eat swordfish is medium rare. Unfortunately the default preparation seems to be cooked beyond done. It was dry and tasteless. The entre comes with sides and the roasted potatoes were delicious but the asparagus was cooked to mush. I'm happy to say the beer was a nice professional pour in a frosted glass that made everything better. I'll go again but make sure to be more specific on my preparation request.

This was my first time here and probably my last. We ordered the colossal chilled shrimp as an appetizer and they were far from colossal. As an entree I got the crab cake sandwich which did not have a single lump and was very “fishy”. The portions were small for the price. The server was very friendly but sadly we will not return.

We’ve been to the restaurant many times and really enjoy the food. Tonight the service was not good. Our waiter completely forgot about us. Thankfully the young woman who was hostess heard my husband asking what happened to our order and found our food in the kitchen. The waiter then asked the table next to us if they needed anything else (this wasn’t his table!)- he didn’t check with us at all. The food tonight was good as usual, but what a frustrating experience. Times are tough, I get it, but please recognize gaps and address!
