Pros: Great energy ✨️
Small and cozy vibes ✨️ Hamburger steak was the best I've had in quite some time!! Good eats! I don't recommend the meatloaf though 😩
Cons: The bartender asked with the receipt in hand as I was walking out the door, "no tip, I mean nothing?" I told him I wrote table tip on the receipt.
I was left to wonder if I said I didn't, what would he have said. Tips are not mandatory and solely based (in my opinion) on your level of satisfaction with services. I left a tip but to be asked like that, rubbed me the wrong way.
Wow! Incredibly tasty food and excellent service. Our group of 12 came in with fresh shark we had caught earlier in the day and the cook prepared it for us, half fried and half blackened. From the oxtail to the fish sandwich and chicken strips, all the food was prepared quickly and very high quality. A true gem!
Yeeesss! The food was some of the best I've ever tasted! The service was so warm & friendly from the moment we walked in! The owner even delivered 1 of our sides! Definitely will return on future trips to the area! And yes,I started eating before I thought to take a pic 😅
Great bar food in a super relaxing location, nice staff and the cutest kitten ever! We will be back!
It was okay🤷🏽♀️…if you ever been there then you know what I mean. More of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant. The cornbread is a melt in your mouth experience and you will want more🤤and they don’t give you much of it, literally a corner lol. The guy that served us was kool just not that friendly. It was busy at the bar and it was only one guy doing everything expect cooking. Depending on what you order the food is fair to pretty good 👌🏽
We wandered into what we thought was an upscale restaurant -- it wasn't. IT WAS BETTER! It's a cozy, very friendly local bar. Mike the Bartender welcomed us, as did several of the locals. Not much seating but the service was excellent and friendly. My son ordered the cheese burger w/ egg and bacon - he said it was the best he ever had. I had the fried shrimp plate, it was very good also. To my surprise, my 15-year old son said it had a great sense of community -- he'd never mentioned anything like that before, but he was right. Worth checking out, other fancier restaurants are too, but if you're staying in the neighborhood, the Beach Break Grill will make you feel welcome and serve excellent food.
They prepare your fresh fish if you catch it from the sea. We did and they prepared it grilled, blackened and fried. All three were great. We also had a buffalo chicken sandwich and it too tasted great. Overall it was decent bar food.
We were told about Beach Break Grill by our captain that took us out fishing earlier in the day. When we got there it was 8:00PM and didn’t realize that they shut the kitchen down at that time. We felt really bad but they told us no problem and cooked our shark meat that we caught that day. Momma Joy fixed our shark two different ways. Half of it was blackened and the other half fried. We also ordered other food and it was all very good. We stayed the week in Hilton Head and our meal was one of the best that we had that week. Don’t judge a book by the cover because it is definitely a hidden gem!
Another very good experience.
Excellent lunch and great bar service. Popular with regulars but still comfortable and friendly for newcomers.
Worth a try for those who want good food or a local bar.
Beach Break is a local hang out with the best chicken and dumplings I have ever had! All the other specials sounded good too, and the beer was nice and cold. I'll be heading back there again.
