Visited for Dinner on May 31, my wife and I went there for our 20th anniversary. We were sat in a far corner, we had requested a quiet table and it was, but near the kitchen. We have been going to the Sea Grass off and on for many years. We absolutely love their Tomato Pie and have bought many whole pies for gifts, brunches, etc. We ordered a nice wine, and a Tomato Pie appetizer. Bread was brought to the table and included a couple very good biscuits and a couple french bread slices. None was left! The App came and we were both a little disappointed at the pie, as it was somewhat cold, not piping hot as we have experienced in the past. Regardless, the flavor was as good as usual. The salads that came before our entree were very fresh and good as expected. My wife ordered the Filet and I had the Veal Scallopini. The filet was cooked to order and came out as expected, it was very good. The veal I have not had in a while, but it was equally as good. One of the things we love about dining at Sea Grass is the variety you get with an entree... from the salad, to the really yummy potato side, and multiple kinds of vegetables, in this case, carrots, green beans, and broccoli. All cooked perfectly. We ended with a Key Lime pie, but I did not capture a photo of that, but it was very good, not a graham cracker crust which I love, but this was more of a dough based crust, still good. Not my favorite crust. All in all, a nice evening.
The food was superb. Our waitress was not very friendly. The wait staff assisting her were great and very courteous. The bathrooms are only accessible by walking directly into the kitchen, which seemed odd to me.
Food was very good.... waitress not so much. She was efficient but in the middle of asking a question she would interupt to finish for us ... as in too busy to bother listening. Plopped a salad down as she walked by.... murmurred something about "ya get a salad".. I guess it came with the meal? But she didn't have much interest in explaining dishes. Service was efficient... just not inviting or a plus to the experience.
I had the shrimp and pasta and it was amazing. The plates didn't come to the table at the same time but wasn't a big deal. I would eat here again, good food and thenprice wasn't unreasonable.
This place is amazing! Don't even think about it just go and eat here you won't be disappointed. The service is so genuine and makes you so comfortable and happy. This place will definitely will be a new spot for me.
I had the lamb and it was cooked perfectly and my fiance got the swordfish with Chipotle sauce (not spicy but creamy and savory). We had deserts too I got the soggy cake and oh how satisfying it it was!
Also I was especially pleased that the mixed vegetables that come with the dinners are not that gross frozen mixture I always dread but they were fresh, roasted and delicious.
Our party of 12 was seated outside, although I wish we had been indoors with the air conditioning. Our server was lovely and quite knowledgeable and recommended the tomato pie. I loved it! I plan on making it at home. We ordered quite a few appetizers and enough so that everyone could have some of everything and everyone had different dinner choices. Everything was good and no complaints. The owner came out to meet us and I wish him good luck and prosperity. There are some things that need tweaked, although I personally would replace the china because it looks worn, and a bit scratched. I’d look to Steelite which has plenty of options, and does not show wear.
Although we enjoyed our dinners, if you needed the bathrooms, you literally had to walk into the kitchen. That Hass to be changed. Immediately, because no bathroom should be through the kitchen. Period.
All in all, it was a very nice dinner with the entire family, being together on vacation, and time spent was priceless.
This was the sweetest little restaurant! We’d been out biking and spotted this place. They were so kind and accommodating. It wasn’t super busy at the time and it felt old school and comforting that the staff spent so much time chatting with us. Definitely check this place out if you’re looking for a great meal away from the crazy busy zone of Coligny Plaza.
The lemon bread and biscuits they serve before your meal are also a can’t miss.
We had a fabulous dinner at Sea Grass Grille. The staff is terrific, the owners are wonderful and the room is charming and comfortable.
Absolutely outstanding. The Seagrass Grill is on the higher price end but well worth it. Seafood, soups and salads are prepared to perfection (note:and they also serve non seafood entrees). The waitstaff is attentive and efficient but not stuffy. Loved the atmosphere. Everyone at our table raved about their food. Try the daily specials you can't go wrong.
This is a nice little restaurant with great outdoor seating. The food was fabulous, and the service was top-notch. We got a variety of things, and they were all tasty.
It was easy to get a table, and we did not have to wait too long to get our meal. The place is child friendly as well.
