Great service and great food. Very clean and salad bar was fresh. Been going there for 10 years and never a bad experience. Got the Rib Eye and the juiciest steak I’ve ever had.
While the building might be a bit on the dated side, it's got a rustic charm to it. I wasn't expecting much but they have a full bar, an AWESOME salad bar, everything was fresh and area was clean. Ordered a filet, and I could literally cut it with a fork. Best steak I've had in years. Will definitely be back!

After reading a couple bad reviews we were hesitant to go here. I talked with a local lady who frequents there a lot she said it was wonderful so we decided to try it. We were't dissappointed. The salad bar was great and the filet steaks melted in our mouth. We were full but decided to get the Bannana's Foster. It was one of the best we ever had. We may have hurt ourselves but it was worth it. The service was great and very attentive. Some commented it was dirty & run down. This was not the case. The restarunt motif is a rustic log cabin theme. Maybe they were expecting Greek marble columns and crystal chandeliers. I asked the manager about the bad reviews. She said they usually come from sleeze balls who eat the entire meal and want to complain and get it free like they can do at the large chain restaurants. She said let us know up front if you don't like something and will fix it then. Looking at the steady stream of regular customers proves this is a great dining experience. In fact reservations are encouraged because it fills up fast. We came early without reservations and barely got in but were graciously accomodated. Great food! Not defunct! Rustic ambiance! No Sleeze Balls please.
They will not wow you but you will get a good steak and a fresh / clean salad bar.
I have no clue why this place isn't rated better. The filet was absolutely amazing and priced very fairly. Salad bar was very good as well. Definitely recommend this place!
Rocky. The BEST hostess/manager in the South in Lisa! I lived off of those filets for two weeks and they were the best ever. Salads are wonderful and the glass never gets empty!
Don’t judge it’s book by its cover. This place in the inside looks like a beautiful, rustic cabin. It gives a very cozy and warm kind of feel. It was my first time here and I’m glad my husband and I stopped here. I had the best birthday dinner! They asked for a reservation but we didn’t have one. We waited about 15-20 min. on a Saturday evening in a cozy waiting area with a bar and beautiful Christmas tree before our table was ready. The salad bar is absolutely fresh! Everything was very yummy. Make room for dessert. This is a very special place. I have found my streak house! My husband and I just moved from Florida and Texas Roadhouse was our to go place for steaks. But The Hermitage Steakhouse is 10x better. The steaks just melt in your mouth with lots of flavor!
We waited about 45 minutes before being seated. Not bad for a Friday night. They do take reservations, which I would recommend.
Fantastic meal at an authentic steakhouse. Considering the conversations between many wait staff and patrons, it's obvious they have been in business for a long time and have "regulars". Food was prepared perfectly and had fantastic flavor. Salad bar was open and offered a great selection, including all house made dressings. Service was good.
Very nice steak house, no frills just straight forward. Not very large, small bar, waiting area and no outside seating. They have a nicely stocked salad bar, if you're comfortable with that. I had the NY strip cooked perfectly with no seasonings on it. This is a great little restaurant.
Great local venue for steak and wonderful salad bar. Mia at the bar was very nice and was working her tail off! Everyone there seem led to know each other and was having a great time. That made a great atmosphere. What a great place and I’ll be back for sure.
Service was good, food was fantastic. Had reservations for Christmas Eve and were seated immediately. Decorated beautifully for the holidays.
Truly lovely experience! An adorable, cozy setting, with a few surprising menu items with a lot of wow factor. An upscale touch to that small town local place. Their appetizer options are something to definitely not miss. Yeah it's a steak house, and they get that done solidly with quality meats cooked appropriately and with great sauce options, but duck wontons and the seared ahi should be tried! And if you haven't seen the pictures, they have a glorious salad bar that isn't anywhere near Golden Corral. Wonderful staff and a true family & friends vibe here.
