Surf City Squeeze

11.25.2017: Walked into the Greenwood Park Mall to do some Christmas shopping. As we walked in we seen the Hawaiian Smoothie Shop. Looked yummy, so my husband wanted to try the mango smoothie. We ordered and paid $5.07 for the smoothie. When my husband tastes the smoothie, he immediately was disappointed, dissatisfied. So, I suggested that we ask for a refund, as there were no signs stating “all sales final” or “no refunds”. Not to mention we didn’t receive a receipt. Once we approached the front counter to express our disappointment, the lady went and quickly spoke to the woman who was preparing the smoothies. The “preparation” lady told us that the mangos this year weren’t sweet and that was the reason my husband didn’t like the smoothie. I shared with her that unfortunately, the smoothie wasn’t a fit to his pallet, and asked for the refund, once again. She then proceeded to say that she could remake the smoothie and add strawberries, promising that he would then like the taste. She went over to the blender and emptied the same smoothie, that my husband and I both had already drank out of, added a few strawberries, put the “newly made smoothie” back into the same container and handed it to us. Needless to say, the smoothie tasted even more bitter, almost like rotten/spoiled fruit. I, again, asked for a refund and she told us that because she sells food, she isn’t allowed to give refunds. I wouldn’t recommend this shop to any friends or family. The customer is always right, especially when spending over $5 for a smoothie. We were very polite and respectful during the whole situation. This shop failed to provide excellent customer service and was very unprofessional.

I asked the woman if there was dairy in what I ordered. She said no, that their products contain soy. Well I'm allergic, and I started feeling sick a little after drinking it, and when I looked it up online, the ingredients included soy and MILK which is a dairy product. Their staff LIED TO MY FACE about their product containing an ALLERGEN and now I'm sick from it. I'm trying to reach the store for an explanation and cannot reach anyone at the store or at their corporate office.
