River Street Sweets Savannah's Candy Kitchen

I entered this store and it was pure delight. Someone came in with a dog and hugged an employee which prompted me to ask if it was dog friendly as my husband was outside with our 2 dogs. To my delight they said well behaved dogs were welcomed! We bought some ice cream and gelato and it was incredible. I had raspberry and the flavor was so true. There are all kinds of confectionery items in here and the employees were very customer oriented. Quite refreshing in these times where it seems no one wants to work.

Was in line to check out behind a couple, when they were done the clerk just turned her back and started talking to the other 3 or 4 clerks standing around chatting behind the counter. Waited an awkward 30 to 45 seconds before one of the clerks realized they were supposed to be working and there was a customer waiting to check out. I got about a dozen pieces of salt water taffy and 2 packs of Necco wafers, cost me over $9, very expensive. Got home and started eating the taffy - every piece was stuck to the paper wrapper. They charge that much and still use cheap paper wrappers. Bottom line, service is awful, prices are ridiculous and the product is terrible.
