Food was good but not great. Had a specialty sandwich that was decent on flavor but lite on meat. Was told there use to be many other shops but this is the last one. Sandwich could have made it a five if a bit more substantial. Was called a dagwood,. And if you are old like me you know what that makes you think...

Sandwich was not as large as I expected, but it was tasty. Broccoli cheese soup was excellent. The Egg Salad is amazing! Will be back.

Awesome local spot. Was looking for something quick on the way to point "B," and found this gem on Google maps. Got there before noon and the lunch crowd. Very unassuming, service was nice and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Will go back next time I'm in town!

Old school sandwich shop with house specials and homemade options. Warm and friendly ambiance with plenty of seating for in-house dining. My egg salad sandwich was delicious!

TL;DR The history brought me across town, the experience won’t bring me back soon.
I guess for less than $10 in Greenville you can’t expect more than unsmiling staff, old tea, bland egg salad, store bought bread, no pickle, and a child’s pudding cup sized serving of potato salad which was, given the state of its companions, surprisingly delicious.
Why was the toasted bread buttered? Butter and egg salad? Why!! #traumatized #eugeniarollinginhergrave
A lot of great reviews and the rich local history had me so excited. I hope management improves things soon; the area is too competitive.
