Tom's Bbq

I took a group from work to Tom's this week. It had been over a year since I had been there. Wow! The place looked great. It had been completely updated and tastefully decorated. The Barbecue was great, large portions and reasonably priced. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. If you are looking for a very delicious barbecue spot that doesn't feel like you're eating in a tractor shed, I highly recommend Tom's Barbecue. Great food, great price, great staff, Clean and great service.

I’m not sure who their pit master is but I’ve never had worse brisket. It was sliced like lunch meat and tasted like pot roast. The chicken was extremely dry. Both meats were almost cold. I also had green beans and baked beans. The green beans were straight from a can. Zero spice zero flavor, zero meat in them for flavor. The baked beans were also straight from a can but they did add some liquid smoke to them. I’ve had a bunch of BBQ and by far this was the worst. NEVER EAT HERE. I gave it 2 stars because it was very clean inside and the people were nice. They need a new pit master QUICKLY.

OMG. Stop, you don't need to keep trying anything else. Tom's BBQ is the BEST in town. We have been searching for somewhere to find good BBQ and this is it. The pork sandwich with sweet & mild sauce was amazing, the BBQ chicken potato was delicious and the BBQ beans were smoked. Holy cow, the smoked beans!! So good. You will not regret trying this place if you haven't already. I almost forgot to mention the service. They were so friendly, helpful, and happy. The New Tom stopped by and helped us and checked on us throughout our meal. Such a refreshing experience, we will be back.

Friendly people and clean restaurant. I ordered the jumbo #2 Pulled Pork plate with Baked Beans and drink (around $9 w/tax). I tried the Hot and Cheerwine BBQ Sauces. The pork was good with a nice portion but somewhat lacked a smokey flavor. The beans were traditional and tasty. I strongly preferred the hot BBQsauce vs the Cheerwine variety. They do offer several house sauces overall to accommodate any taste. I look forward to trying other menu items next time thru. Check the hours before visiting as they close mid-afternoon.

Pulled pork was tasty and prepared well (slightly dry, but not bad at all). Chicken was dry, very tough, and bland. Sausage Dog was like a big (thick) hot dog -- not like a sausage. Ribs were good (cooked well, flavorful). Sweet Potato Crunch was very good and Mac and Cheese was also pretty good (dry-style, not gooey). Additionally, several items from the menu were not available and others were wrong (say 2 sides but came with 1, for example). Overall, I would not return.
