I recommend Linear anytime people ask me where to go in the city. I've brought many groups over the years and it's my go to birthday spot. For someone who is local, a rotating, seasonal & fresh, menu is very attractive in a city where the familiar favorites lose their novelty. The service has always been spectacular as well - like, spontaneous cookies just for willing to be flexible spectacular. Love you guys 🫶💕😂

The atmosphere was good and the server was very accommodating. Food variety was good and all food tasted even better. There was a road construction in front and not much parking so we had to park blocks away but worth it.

In my opinion, there is not a better spot in Grand Rapids. The ambiance is on point - good soft lighting, great music, not too loud where you can’t have a nice conversation but in the background enough you aren’t overwhelmed by other tables. The service is friendly, informative, and they care about your events or celebrations. They give great food and wine recommendations and they want you to be satisfied. The food is seasonal and a great variety. You leave feeling satisfied and they you have received high quality and well thought out meals. The waygu steak will leave you thinking about it later! So delish! I always leave happy. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely anniversary dinner here. They have a romantic atmosphere, delicious food and attentive service. We are both vegetarians and had plenty of options. The "adult bubble tea" cocktail was a fun treat! We had focaccia as an appetizer, cacio e pepe and beetroot risotto for mains, and monkey bread as dessert. Everything was well presented and tasty! It was very easy to set up and adjust our reservation. The music was a little loud, but not so much that we couldn't have a conversation. Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting.

We reserved a table for a Saturday morning and it wasn’t busy so we were sat as soon as we got there. We did have to call over the waitress to tell her we were ready (we did reserve for 4 but only had 3 so she could’ve been waiting). One of my friends is a little picky so she had a couple questions about the menu. Our waiter, Jessica, didn’t seem to want to answer the question thoroughly (aka short, no elaboration type answers). We had to wait for a larger table who had ordered before us but food still came out relatively quickly and we all liked what we ordered! But then it took our waiter some time to refill waters and just seemed disinterested in our table.
But overall, we loved the atmosphere, the food was good, we just wished for a little more attentiveness from the service.

An excellent Sunday dinner. Well-flavored and excellently conceived food from appetizer to dessert. Everything cooked to perfection and just the right portion sizes to be able to enjoy an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Excellent happy hour specials. Exceptionally reasonable prices for the quality. Can't wait to go back for the weekend brunch and sit on the patio on the river come spring.
July 2023 Update: Linear continues to impress, especially with the best river views of any restaurant in the city.

We enjoyed a girls' night on the patio and the food and drinks were amazing! Dessert was our favorite and the cocktails were great too! Coffee at the end was delicious :)
Sounds odd but the bathroom smelled so good! Only downside is parking, but we found some scooters close by that made it fun!
