The service was impeccable. The food was extrodenary. The wife and I was very pleasantly surprised. We are not familiar with wine but our waitress and the other staff there was very knowledgeable and could not have made us feel more comfortable with us not being familiar with different tastes. The wife had the steak and I had the duck. Both were excellent. Small portions yes but we did not leave hungry. So just the right amount. I recommend and will recommend this place to everybody to try at least once and let the service, wine and food speak for itself. You will not be disappointed.
Love this place! My husband and I have been here a few times together. We went last night to celebrate our birthdays, and it was perfect!
We have had excellent service each time we have gone. Last night, Kris was our waiter and he was awesome. Very knowledgeable, able to give great suggestions on the wine and food.

My dear friend took me on a date here for my Birthday. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The dishes were like an art, perfectly set up and unique pairings. We went with several appetizers and shared a pasta dish, a dessert and we both had a drink. We were definitely satisfied with the portions; they weren't huge by any means but they were decent enough. The downsides were 1. We sat outdoors and the service was incredibly slow. I'm talking, it took over 2.5 hours start to finish, and it wasn't because we were indecisive. The other downside (which totally wasn't their fault) was a young family sat directly next to us with 2 young children, and one of them would randomly shriek scream. I'm a mother of 2 young children and I absolutely believe children are welcome in public. It was just very loud and would catch us off guard. Spending nearly $200 on a nice dinner, you want to be able to fully enjoy it!
Everything was beautiful and the ingredients top notch. The flavors were also excellent! Only thing I would have liked to be better is had the sauce stuck more to the gnocchi, the sauce had a great flavor but just kind of ran off it so it took bread to get that great flavor.
Highly recommend. Every single dish that our tabled ordered was amazing. Our server, Chris, gave great recommendations and outstanding service. The patio is also nice and has a canopy so you don’t have to be in direct sunlight.
I came in after working late, just a few minutes before close for their (reverse) happy hour. I had one of the best burgers I have had in a long time anywhere, served with twice passed fries so good they would make a Belgian chef proud, and a great creative cocktail. Best of all, the service was excellent, despite my late arrival, and extremely accommodating. I'll be back with the crew for a proper full meal soon, and we are getting things started with that killer charcuterie board.
This is the best food I have ever had hands down. Our waiter was incredible and the ambiance was fun. But the food: wow. My father and sister both had steak and they can’t stop talking about how it’s the best they’ve ever had. My mom and I shared a salad and the mushroom tagliatelle which was to die for. We all shared the carrot steak and a cheese board, which I can’t even begin to describe. Thank you to the staff and chef who made my mom’s birthday special and memorable!

The food was excellent. The duck was one of the better renditions we've had. The carved sirloin was perfectly cooked, and the sauce that came with it was amazing.
The atmosphere and cleanliness is top notch.
The cocktails were just ok, but that's not too surprising since Reserve's focus is wine.
The service is very relaxed, so prepare to spend some time here.
Thank you to our serve for the outstanding service up at the bar! He made an amazing suggestion to get the Pork Chop! It is unlike anything you can get in Grand Rapids. It is caramelized on the outside, sprinkled with cheesy bites, and laid on a bed of delicious grits. Along side it also has pickled apples which are surprisingly one of the best parts.
We also got a burger that is on special every Tuesday and it was very good and affordable.
FYI I’m a pretty sure the Reserve has every wine bottle you can think of lol

Our experience at The Reserve was worth every penny. While staying in Grand Rapids for the night visiting from Chicago we were treated to outstanding service from our server Alyssa. She had so much sophisticated knowledge and passion for everything on the menu. The charcuterie was the best I’ve had options we cannot find in Chicago. Also the wine selection can’t be beat. Every course didn’t miss a beat. Would love to return and make a special trip for a special night here. Thanks Alyssa and reserve team!
The place is nice, elegant, chic. The food is an accompaniment to the broad wine list, which includes wines from all over the world. The use local ingredients so a lot of the dishes change according to the season. Their charcuterie is beautiful, inviting and has multiple options. I just go for the cheese because I like the mix of cheeses and sweet wines. The ambience here is everything. The wines are the highlight of the place as you can get everything else at other restaurants. Not a place I crave for but it is a place for a special occasion. You wont leave without spending at least $100 per person if you have a meal, and more than one glass of wine.
