This place is amazing. The service is always great and I’ve honestly never even had as much as an ok meal. The food is always phenomenal!! You can definitely tell the owners take pride in not only their food but their staff as well. I recommend this place often and always hear nothing but good things about it!
I love love love this place! The arancini (rice balls) are AMAZING. The calamari is the best; very tender and lightly breaded and crispy. Their pizza won best pizza for a reason - all of them are delicious! The staff is always friendly and very attentive every time my family visits. I highly recommend Licari's!

Licari’s was recommended by a friend (thanks, Kendra) and it was a great find. You can’t see it from the road and there is no signage on Knapp. So look for the Crushed Grape and turn in. The restaurant is attached to the backside of Crushed Grape and is near the Celebration Cinema complex for you movie goers. The narrow space is small with high tops and booths along the windows, and a few tables and the bar fill in the rest of the area. The outdoor patio looks like a pleasant place to be in nice weather. The menu is also small but interesting. Five antipasti selections, 5 insalate, 8 pannettis, 6 pasta, and pizza. Opened since April 2012, the restaurant is gathering a well-deserved following. It has a cool vibe to it and the service was great. Our server took our order on her iPhone and we started with her recommendation, Arancini - crispy rice balls filled with meat sauce and mozzarella. Absolutely lived up to the reputation! We had a pizza party at Berkshire Hathaway Home Service Michigan! 16 pizzas, two very large salads. Delicious, all cooked to perfection, salads fresh, and pizzas were hot! On time and great customer service. Even the gluten free pizza was delicious!
Very very good Italian food. A bit pricey, our bill was $100 for two people, but we ate well. Love the spaghetti and meatballs. Will be back for the pizza! Service was great. Atmosphere could be more relaxed and romantic for Italian, but it was decorated nicely.
I drove by on Father's Day and a sparse parking lot compared to their usual overflow. I figured it would be my best to try without the chaos. I have picked up orders on a Fri/Sat evening - and it's like an O'Hare parking lot. Tried a monthly dish - pistachio pest pasta. Really good - just wish it was warmer. I was shocked that service was slower today when they appeared to be fully staffed. I'll try again, perhaps if I catch another slow down day.
Really enjoyable place. I'll be back. The calamari is fresh and is by far and away the best I've tasted in West Michigan. I like the fact I can order a bottle of wine off an extensive menu and take what I don't drink home with me (along with a few more bottles-there is a wine store connected to the restaurant). No RSVPs so take your chances. Service wasn't exactly speedy or spot on but it wasn't horrible. Our server was very friendly. Go.
The freshness in the ingredients and food is rare now a days. This is the best pizza I have had from Michigan, New York, and Chicago. Everything made in house from scratch. The environment is nice and has great music selection. Good family or date spot.
Absolutely love this place. The food is amazing. I love the meatballs, the pizza and the pasta. We haven't had the sandwiches yet but we will be trying them next time. I'm sure they won't disappoint.

The day we went to pick up our pizza from Licari’s the pizza gods were smiling upon us. This is the best pie I have had in Grand Rapids. There are a lot of other great pizza spots in the city, but in my opinion Licari’s hits all the marks keeping their pizza simple, but everything you want it to be. Thin delicious base, decent size crust, the perfect a sauce to cheese ratio, and Fresh toppingsss!!! We have ordered from them twice just this week!
Friendly, prompt service. We enjoyed their outdoor seating because it was a gorgeous day, but also because it's not right next to a parking lot or busy road.
Split a Palino pizza and salad. Very tasty.
