I love the aesthetics of the place! This is the perfect place to hang with friends and grab a quick bite to eat. The churros are pretty good and the chocolate sauce is a plus! The wait staff are friendly and enjoyable to talk to! Definitely come here if you are a fan of tacos!

I'm going to start out by saying that my first experience with the Grand Rapids Stan's tacos was far from what I wanted or expected. However, the owner contacted me and asked me about my experience. I explained to him why I had given the place a 2 star review and he asked that I give them another shot. He did everything in his power to encourage me to try again and maybe I could change my review in return.
That being said, today everything rocked! My husband and I got the grilled burritos one with pico and one without. Both came out perfectly the way ordered. The chips, queso and salsa was amazing. We had nothing but crumbs left. The margarita was on point (a little strong for me as I'm a light weight but that's not Stan's fault 🤣). The sauce that comes with the grilled burritos is fantastic, just spicy enough.
The service was great, the hospitality of Jon was amazing, and everything turned out perfect this next time around. Thank you for the great experience. Thank you for taking my negative review seriously and taking the time to get it right. Not many establishments do that anymore. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The bartender, Shapell made me the best margarita of my entire life. His service was top notch and our conversation was enjoyable. Between his friendly smile and cool shirt, I definitely plan on returning to support this business.
My friend and I love it here! Great jarrito drinks, churros were to die for. Decent price. I wish I remembered her name, but our waitress was so sweet and very helpful.
First time at a Stan's Tacos in downtown Grand Rapids across the street from the Van Andel Arena. Kailey was our hostess/bartender/waitress. She did an outstanding job. She was talkative and made suggestions. She made great conversation from anywhere from being in school, at Grand valley, my daughter was sitting next to me is a Cornerstone student. To anime movies, and downtown housing. It was not very busy, in fact there was only one other table, so it was very nice to have a casual conversation that she was working to take care of both tables and front of house. Very pleasant wasn't pushy at all which we like in a waitress. We only ended up having the queso, salsa and chips and drinks. We were going to order lunch, but we decided to road trip it out of town. We will definitely be back after an event to go back and try the tacos and the burritos. The atmosphere was very warming, friendly, and inviting! We will be back. See pics
Had eaten to-go a few times and finally stopped in to eat at the restaurant. Service was quick and servers/bartenders very friendly, food was delicious. We got tacos, appetizers, and margaritas for a taco Tuesday and Happy Hour combo so the prices were a great deal for downtown Grand Rapids.
We had a group of 12 for dinner and everyone had a good time. The service was great, our server never missed a thing for any of us. Service throughout the meal was excellent, never an empty glass. I had deviled eggs that had a light crust on them, batter? They tasted great, with just a touch of heat. My burger was delicious as well, as was everyone else’s food. We will definitely be back.
What a gorgeous place! I visited The Wheelhouse in early January so they still had their holiday decorations up. Everything about this restaurant is elegant. I went with a large group, and even though it was pretty packed, the staff did their best to accommodate us. The food is quite a small portion for the price but there is no denying that it is delicious! I had the braised short ribs which were tender enough to cut with a fork. I also tried the Southern Belle which is a sweet berry cocktail with citrus vodka, blackberry purée, lemon, simple syrup, and elderflower foam. It is a bit tart, a bit sweet and strong enough that I was pretty tipsy after two! They have a room toward the back that will easily accommodate large groups.
Stan’s Tacos has an amazing atmosphere, food, and service. If you’re looking to cure the winter blues, this is the place to come. The GM, John, is so freaking friendly!!! I’ve been here twice, and both times he’s taken my order. He’s answered all of my annoying questions (How are the margaritas? How spicy is the jalapeño margarita? How do we feel about the tacos…).
