Tried this place for the first time today after reading the reviews. Sonny, Belinda and Becky were very welcoming and nice! I had the fried fish and shrimp, fries and onion rings. All was absolutely delicious! Batter was light yet very flavorful. It was not salty and the onion rings have to be the BEST I have ever had. I always order onion rings wherever I go and these were the best. Just the right amount of batter and the onions stay together when you bite down on them. Crispy, moist and nice tasting onions. The fish and shrimp were just as good and they both were very fresh. I also had the shrimp gumbo and it had plenty of delicious shrimp. The gumbo was not overly seasoned and was just perfect. You have to give this place a try!
It is not fast food but it is worth the wait. The best food is always in places like this, simple settings where the quality and taste of the food is the main focus.
We came in from out of town and wanted to try something new and decided to try this place based on previous Google reviews. I'm always a little cautious about trying new seafood places but the fact they prepare everything to order from scratch sounded good.
Today we tried the fish fillets (they were Alaskan Pollock) and Jumbo Gulf Shrimp with sides of Onion rings and French fries. The food was hot, very fresh and perfectly seasoned. The fish fillet melt in your mouth. The shrimp were good. The onion rings were amazing.
Friendly faces, reasonable prices and great service.

Do not let the outside intimidate you. Yes, this restaurant is located inside a gas station. The food is DELICIOUS!!! We stopped in and ordered lunch, it took about 10 minutes until it was ready. The food was hot, fresh and amazing! From the shrimp gumbo to the grilled shrimp, we were a very happy family leaving there today. Definitely a great place to grab lunch and go on a picnic or to the beach. As an extra perk, the staff were super sweet and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!!!
We got into Galveston late and came across this gem of a restaurant Seafood Depot Express. It was delicious! Freshly cooked right after we placed ordered.The shrimp were jumbo in size and fish was also so fresh and tasty, it was all cooked to perfection. The menu prices are great as well. Owner Sonny was a supper nice gentleman and has a friendly staff. We will definitely come by before be head by home in a few days. Thank you, (MR Pizza & More) Max &Rose😋😋
This place is amazing! Fresh and hot seafood that can't be beat. Prices are the best around town. They make it right when you order so its sizzling! The seasoning is perfect. Customer service is top notch. Its located inside a gas station so you can grab a cold drink and have it right there. There are some tables set up. We drive over 1.5 hours just to have seafood here. The place is squeaky clean.

This place was recommended by one of the locals and it did not disappoint! Don't let the fact it's inside a gas station put you off. We had the shrimp and fish, and both were very good and fresh. You can take your food across the highway and eat it on the beach if you like. Handicap parking is available and had clean restrooms. Give them a try.
Got in to Galveston late evening and wanted something other then the normal fast food. Found the Seafood Depot Express on google and thought we would give it a try. It did not disappoint. It was delicious! Cooked right after we ordered and it tasted amazing! Friendly staff and fast service! If you are interested in some good seafood check this place out. We will be stopping by again when we leave town!

So good. Made fresh when you order. Prices are excellent. Biggest onion rings I've ever seen in my life. I should have taken pictures, but the food was eaten too fast. They open at 11:30am. We were there just after 1 and I got the last serving from the first batch of gumbo. They have an app. I can't wait to go back. A small fries is 1/2 lb. An order of onion rings is 9 or 10 colossal rings. This place is inside the Valero that got remodeled on Stewart.

Can't go to Galveston and not get seafood. Decided to give Seafood Depot a try. Located in a Valero. Tables and chairs indoors. PET FRIENDLY +++. Staff was very welcoming. Food was ready quick. Good gumbo. Would definitely stop by again.
