What a great experience! Our waitress, Shelly, was super fun, personable, and made our dinner extra special (she even took our picture for us). The chicken and mashed potatoes were delicious, and we especially enjoyed the creamy cabbage salad. Would definitely go again!
Zehnder's has the most flavorful chicken that I have tasted. The service is friendly, helpful, and energetic. A nice touch is that the service staff is dressed as would be expected in 1940's Germany. The facility has dining rooms, a cafe, and gift shops full of wonderful items. All areas are well organized, clean, and pleasantly decorated.
We just ate here with our dog. We were outside and we had a great time. The barbecue chicken wings were very tasty and soft. The chicken quarter was good, maybe I would have preferred it combined with a sauce. The personnel was kind and fast.
Been here many times when young but now reviewing Zehnder's when I can adequately recall the experience! now being older. It might be a cliché Michigan thing but it is famous for a reason! The food and chicken is exceptional and Incredibly tasty! If you're ever in the Frankenmuth area it's practically a must-do and would recommend highly! While not the cheapest option out there you get a lot of food for the price and it is all family style. Everything from the Butter Noodles to Vegetables to the Cranberries and even the bread with Michigan Jams are good and the chicken is very delicious.
Mother’s Day lunch with the family was a wonderful experience with fantastic server! The buffet was okay, food alright but definitely went for the allure of Frankenmuth charm and great service. I’d definitely go more regularly if the food was better. All in all, a beautiful Mother’s Day!
Fantastic food and wonderful shops make this a must when coming to Frankenmuth. Their bakery has incredible goods and they have a few shops downstairs.
There are plenty of parking spots available as well as a vast amount of handicap spots. We typically park here as it's easy to go to their store as well as walk down Main Street and shop at the stores that line the street.
The covered bridge is on the opposite side of the street, but still very easily accessible, both by car and foot. Very wonderful place and a very nice staff, highly recommended.
Visited Thanksgiving week so it was pretty busy...even at 2 pm! The line moved quickly and there was a festively decorated sitting area for those who needed it. Began with assorted breads and cheese spreads along with cranberry/apple jam. Ordered their traditional chicken dinner lunch of chicken, mashed potatoes, dressing and ordered a hearty serving their famous egg noodles as an additional side. Waitress was super friendly and helpful. Decor was festively whimsical. Tables near us had families with young children and all seemed to enjoy the holiday atmosphere. Price was reasonable and we later shopped for noodles and chicken spices downstairs in the Bakery. Made for an enjoyable day outing and would definitely recommend.
