Cool lounge with good vibes. The sushi was good got the flaming sushi. The drinks weren't too bad. Customer service was decent. Gave his recommendation. Just was busy so everything took a tad bit longer. Need more staff. But will go back in the future.
We absolutely loved Sushi John! The service is amazing and we could not believe how exciting it was to see food set on fire and it was all a chemical reaction. Delicious food and everything was on time and on point. We were able to relax and laugh so much. Thank you Matthew Carlos for an ultimate experience and your joyful disposition. Funky little spot on the bottom of building. It’s actually located on the bottom of the Waverley condominiums. Although it’s a restaurant it doesn’t have full restaurant vibes for bit more like a lounge, they also do hookah here and there’s also a DJ in the back corner what you could easily mess spinning music. It is definitely a local spot for residence at the building.
I forgot the name of the dish but they laid it on fire it was very tasty. Also the Sally was amazing. Although I’m a local to this area I rarely ever go. I’m going to have to go more. I enjoyed actually sitting at the bar with my friend. The bartenders are hilarious and outgoing. But if you’re looking to have some peace and quiet sit in the corner they have sofas as well.
This is one of my new favorite hookah spots! My husband was planning a date night and took me here and I’m obsessed! The environment is very zen and laid back. This lounge has sushi which is also AMAZING! Not to mention the hookah is very smooth and they have some good flavors to choose from. To drink I ordered the spiked blueberry lemonade. And my husband ordered strawberry henny. To eat we ordered chicken tempura rolls which were delicious! The presentation of the food was very decorative and cute! The staff is also friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back! ♥️
Omg I’m in town visiting from New Orleans where I am a sushi LOVER!! Lemme tell you, this place gave the best sushi experience I’ve ever had! The flaming posh, Mexican roll, hurricane roll and the red dragon all left my mouth watering for more! I wanted to try every roll on the menu!! On top of that, the drinks were good and the hookah was the smoothest and delicious hookah I’ve had. They are a bit pricey but we’ll worth it! Makes me want to move here just for this place!!’ ALSO , the ambience was so relaxing and the service was top tier! Give them a visit!!!!
WOW. The Food. The Ambiance. The Unique Rolls. Just wow! I had their signature roll (forgot what it's called, but it's the roll that's set on fire). It was delicious! One of the best sushi rolls I've ever had! That roll is a must try!
Also had the salmon sashimi which was also very tasty! The bar is very well staffed with tons of options! The seating options are very comfortable which makes spending time here pleasant. The service is also very good, so overall what's not to love here? If you are reading this review that means you are considering coming here. Stop reading and go here :)
They just won a regular. We ordered the flaming Posh and The Heat. Can’t decide which one was better. The service A1. Definitely coming back.
4 Outstanding Wows from us! First time in this place and if they were open on Sunday i'd be back tonight! Went with friends Saturday night after drinks at another bar around the corner. We were all hungry and everything was closed to get something to eat. They were not! Very Chill little place with great music, bar, hookah and a "Posh" atmosphere ;-) They served us the Largest and Most Delicious sushi I, and everyone I was with agreed has EVER had!!!, and at (((2:30AM!!))). We had absolutely no wait for anything but it was after hours, and the Grand Master Sushi Sense' even made us another Volcano Roll after he had put everything away. The owner was friendly, attentive and even hung out with us a bit and kept us cracking up. The staff really went above and beyond to make our evening perfect! Thier Flaming Posh roll is out of this world, amazing!! And that's no exaggeration. They flambée it right at your table, and you wait about 3 minutes for the flames to go down before you can eat. It's a signature roll unique to this restaurant that you won't find anywhere else, and now I understand why people would drive from near and far just to eat here. We also got a Dragon Roll, and another roll (can't remember the name at the moment) but they were delicious as well! Perfect spot for a date night, it's intimate and cozy. Best sushi experience ever.
Beautiful atmosphere very laid-back and relaxing enjoy the hookah. And drinks were amazing. The server and bartender was very attentive to our needs and helpful by being very knowledgeable on the menu.
