I've been living in the area for quite some time now and have had every "greatest" pizza in town but Luigi's is really where it's at, I have stood by that statement for years and I continue to do so. There is a fairly new bartender on staff, Jeff, who has also suggested some of the pasta dishes and different pizza choices to me and his recommendations are always phenomenal. But more importantly beyond his food knowledge, he is an incredibly talented bartender. Between his vast knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors and ability to create any cocktail from your very traditional timeless cocktails to unique specialities of his own accord that you won't see anywhere else. Jeff is also extremely welcoming and by far has one of the wittiest personalities I've come across, it's a joy to sit at the bar with him, I go straight there every time I come in.
If you truly want the best pizza or pasta and now cocktails in Fort Lauderdale you'd be wrong to go anywhere else. 5/5 I recommend coming by to see Jeff at the bar and ask him to create one of his own specialty cocktails, he'll have you hooked!
Excellent pizza and calzones! Great atmosphere in the restaurant. All of the staff were great, especially our server Simona. Even the music being played was good!
The pizza is delicious, crusty and thin as I like it. The place is small but clean and the service is good. You have free parking and they allow you to take your pet if you eat outside. Four stars because the service is slow.
The pizza here is pretty good and fresh! We couldn't get into the restaurant next door so we opted for this place and I'm glad we did.
We got the meat lovers pizza which had pepperoni and sausage; It came on a pizza platter that sits high for everyone at the table to reach. The service was really good, our waitress was quick and efficient. I ordered a margarita and it was really good. The inside is pretty small so I could see that there could be wait times during peak hours.
I think a lot of the patrons didn't want to wait next door too and decided to come here. My friends ordered the calamari and they loved it. They also have a big parking lot so that is pretty convenient; there's also metered street parking. I would definitely recommend the pizza, food, and drinks here. They run a tight operation and the food was super hot and fresh! I'm glad to be able to check this place!
Given the pizza renaissance taking place across America, I am no longer surprised to find great pie outside of the traditional pizza belt cities like Philly, Trenton, New York, New Haven, and Boston. One area with a terrific concentration of destination pizza is the Atlantic Coast in South Florida. Luigi's Coal Fired Pizza, Fort Lauderdale
Delish!. My boyfriend and I were on Vacation staying in a hotel off of Las Olas. We wanted to get off of Las Olas and try something different so I looked up "best pizza in ft Lauderdale". Luigi's came up as one of the top 10 so we decided to try it. Boy am I glad we did... the pizza was delicious!!! I had a calzone that was to die for! It was bigger than my head! I'm sad that I don't have a Luigi's back home because this would be a weekly dinner date for us. There was a gentleman sitting next to us at the bar that actually complained that his pizza was "burnt".. I assume he's never had a coal fired/wood fired pizza before because it's not burnt it's just crispy and that's what gives it the great flavor. They also had a great wine selection. If you're wondering if you should try this place it's a definite YES in my book!
I visit this restaurant several times a month when I am in town in the winter for a reason. The staff is excellent and the food is excellent. Go for the coal fired pizza.
Nothing Prepared Me.... This is the best pizza I've had in a long time, and my favorite in the state of Florida. Even though it is cooked in a wood burning oven, it is so much like my all time favorite coal fired pies. Terrific crust with light char spots, and plenty of moisture in the toppings. The sauce was so simple and balanced in flavor. The sausage almost melted in my mouth. Luigi's you have won my heart.
It is hard to go wrong with a wood burning coal oven. This is a casual restaurant that serves pretty good pizza. There are a few other items in the menu as well as tiramisu and espresso. The pizzas are quite traditional.
Had a calzone, it was excellent. Very good sauce. Very busy place. And small so call ahead or risk waiting. Would def go back.
Absolutely incredible, second time in less than a week. fresh ingredients and fabulous crust. super friendly waiters and really quick service. the coal oven pizza will leave you wishing you had leftovers!
Absolutely the BEST COAL OVEN PIZZA IN FLORIDA!!!
Anthony's could use a lesson from Luigi on how to make pizza!
Great location, food, and atmosphere. Lots of different pizza options to choose from, and non-pizza options as well. Good wings and calamari. They let you do half and half for the pizza toppings, which is great because it meant we could try lots of different flavors. We sat outside because it was a busy night, and there wasn’t too many bugs and wait staff were very responsive. Good experience overall. Limited parking, and usually a wait, but worth it for the quality and portions.
Luigi’s is probably one of the best places to eat pizza in the Fort Lauderdale area. Pizza was delicious and service was good. Parking is limited, but there is street parking that you have to pay for.
Was just passing by and decided to give it a try and woww! Pizza ingredients super fresh, flavor rich, thin crust…and the wings?! With sautéed onions and the best buffalo sauce. Will be back!
New York style pizza 🍕. Great flavor. Nice crispiness to the crust with good leoparding underneath. Good sauce. Good value. Very light dough, so you will feel good after eating it. ✨️ Would definitely come again. My wife recommended this place to me, and it did not disappoint. They have a parking lot with a few spots, so there no need to worry about parking in the street .
This was our first time and we had the calamari and a margherita/tomato pie (NYC) style and it was SO GOOD. The waitress was super helpful and the atmosphere was great.
Luigi’s Pizza is amazing some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. What a wonderful place!! The margarita pizza was my favorite! The coal oven makes everything taste better! The wings were amazing as well as the fried mozzarella! I will be back soon!
The food was delicious, and the service was great. The options on variety weren't as expected. They don't have ranch nor any other sauce or flavors to incorporate into the wings. Also the Truffle fries weren't what I expected. They were soggy and greasy. The pizza was delicious. For the price... the experience could have been better.
Small place but the food does not disappoint! My husband ordered the penne primavera and I went with classic spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was super flavorful however the fried calamari needed some salt, but the spicy marinera was tasty. And lastly the house salad is a must! I ordered the half size and it was shared between us. Everything was hot and fresh and our waitress checked in on us periodically not to overwhelming which I like!
Couldn’t wait to try this pizza. It came out fast and was so good, a solid 8.75, also got the house made Parmesan chips, really good! Also got the meatball sub which I’d give an 8, the parking is close but usually full. The service was “ok” not great, but it was right after they opened. Definitely give it a try if on las olas, great pizza!!!!!
Wanted to have a quick takeout pizza 🍕 while visiting Fort Lauderdale and decided to go to Luigi's which happen to be also one of the closest pizzeria.
The server was great at recommendation, I got the margarita and mushroom truffle pizza, both of them were fantastic. Both pizzas were gone in 8 mins once I got home 😋
I wish I had more time here to try other variants, highly recommend ✌🏽
