Truett's Luau

My family had a conglomeration of menu items. Luau burger wasn’t a favorite. Plain tasting was the verdict as it was not to CFA standards. The Hawaiian chicken tacos and Hawaiian cod sandwich were excellent. My kids had mixed reviews of Tropical nuggets. Cranberry lime lemonade would be great as a mixed adult beverage but kinda strong as is. The frosted Hawaiian frozen drink is a 3/5. Bubble strawberry lemonade is a 5/5.

Cool concept! Can’t wait to visit when the dining room is open to try the entire menu. Drive-thru only options as of late Nov. The sweet potato waffle fries and chicken tacos could have been fresher (I hold Chick-Fil-A to a higher standard). However, the Hawaiian chicken nuggets and Luau burger were hot. Also tried the peach tea (excellent) and the strawberry bubble lemonade. The bubble tea lemonade isn’t worth the $5 price when it’s just their regular lemonade with overly sweet strawberry flavored balls. Wasn’t a long wait, we arrived at 11:30 right before the lunch rush. My curiosity to try the entire menu is what will bring me back in the future!

My gf and I drove from Orlando for their food, and our conclusion is they should definitely stay with chickens. The burger was dry, so I asked for a remake, but it is the same. Also the tacos we get didn’t meet our expectations. One thing that is really good is the sweet potato fries. 💯 recommended. Sadly we didn’t get to experience the dining service and food, so I can’t not say much about that.

Pretty decent experience for my first time. I got the Hawaiian nuggets with sweet potato fries and peach tea. The sweet potato fries were good, they’re an acquired taste so I’ll probably stick to the regular waffle fries. But there was no line at 6:45 on a Monday, got in and out shockingly. Will come again though to try something else!!
