Ain't nothing better then eating Baklava with your hands 😝🇹🇷. Great food i am glade. they open here i tried Baklava in El Paso before but nothing like thus fresh one 😍. And theres live Turkish music!!
I've had takeout from cafe Istanbul before but this time was my first Time visiting. It's a small, clean place and the prices are fair. The hummus was amazing. I ordered the wrap which comes with sauce and french fries. You can also get a hot Turkish tea for free which was amazing on a cold day. The restaurant is located a few blocks from the don Haskins center so it is usual to find utep students in the area.
So much food! Meat was very tender and seasoned perfect. Such a large portion for a reasonable price. Will dine again!
Wonderful place. The hummus was amazing; once you have this hummus you'll never go back to the supermarket version on hummus again. The food was excellent but what really stood out was the service. There was a bee on the patio, the staff quickly chased it away. Owner came out to greet us and everyone was super friendly and excited to have us try all kinds of food. Hands down the best baklava in the city. One thing to note is that this isn't a fast food place where you run in and out to eat. Here the emphasis is on the food, enjoying the company that you are with and atmosphere so if you are looking for a quick meal either order take out or let them know in advance. Can't wait to go back, they promised baklava with ice cream in the summer :)
I went for Lunch Specials which includes Hummus, Lamb gyro plates with salads and drinks for only $9.99. The meal was enough for two people. I couldn't finish the whole meal and had to take out rest of the foods. I didn't found the oily texture on top of the hummus and lamb gyro was little bit salty. The service and environment was good. Recommended for Mediterranean food lovers.
