First time coming to this Cattle Baron!!! This spot is near the highway off Joe Battle. They have a great big parking lot and lots of seating inside. The inside still looks pretty brand new. The inside looks is very rustic and clean. Very friendly staff.
My friend ordered the prime rib, when her order came, it smelled real good my mouth started watering! However I chose to order the salad bar. Cattle Baron has a great one! Everything is fresh and you have lots to choose from. Macaroni to potato salad, to pasta, to mixed green salad! Enormous amount of toppings like mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, cheese, beans and a lot more!
Oh when you come here be sure to order their sweet tea because they make it real sweet!!!!!
I travel all over the USA for work. Was in town for work and went to dinner here. Let me tell you that was one of the best steaks i ever had. So glad red lobster was to busy. This was a great place. Our waitress Martha was great. Never an empty glass. Super nice and didn't hoover. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing after a stressful day at work. Music wasn't to loud. And the desserts ( strawberry cheesecake and creame brulee) are the best.
A truly fantastic restaurant. I ate here twice and both times it was great. I ordered the same thing (why mess with a good thing?) the blue cheese wedge salad and the bone in rib eye. The steak was cooked to perfection and I could have probably forced myself to finish it. However, I ended up taking about half of it home and ate it for breakfast the following day.
Good food, a lot of it was great. The filet mignon was very good and super tender. The ribs were good and a bit charred on top but very tender inside. The sweet potatoes fries were awesome, the mashed potatoes were dry. The salad bar is great, tons of options and even teo soups.

We had a really great dinner here with friends - the steak was tasty, tender and cooked to perfection and we were very happy with the quality and range on the salad bar. The service was attentive and friendly and the prices were quite reasonable.
I been living about a mile away from this Cattle Baron for 4 years... First time going there. It was ok. Steak was cooked correctly and juicy. The sides were very bland and seem to lack effort in cooking. I have to say I'm a Cattleman's fan and one of the reasons I haven't gone to Cattle Baron is that I rather make the drive to Fabens for a good steak. I kind of wish I did tonight. For over a $100 it just lacked the atmosphere and the attention to detail. Our server was great, took care of all our needs. Steak was good quality not like Golden Corral, Texas theme in restaurant was also nice.
Try the Green Chile beef stew, it is really delicious and flavorful. The chile has just the right amount of spice, the beef and potatoes are tender and yummy! The broth is seasoned to perfection. It's Served with a fresh tortilla.... Great Customer Service and the bomb salad bar as well!!
Great place to eat at any time. Friendly staff and family friendly atmosphere.

Great Salad Bar & Soups! My husband and I love their green chili corn chowder soup. We love it so much that we usually call and ask if they are serving it. One time they had it, so we dropped what we were doing and stopped for dinner. They had run out! Another soup was up there. We quietly mentioned that we were bummed out about the soup. The manager came to our table and told us that their cook was going to make some for us. They served us with dinner size soup bowls, which was amazing! Then they gave us a to-go cup. Amazing customer service! We love this location! The staff is AMAZING! We wrote corporate a letter but wasn't sure if they followed up. Either way, I wanted to leave this review here because they are amazing!
