The brisket was tender and on point. It was tender and flavorful enough that it didn't even need bbq sauce. That along with the collared greens made it reminiscent to Nashville. Highly recommend.

I had the 4 meat platter and the beef brisket sandwich (I skipped lunch today...). The pork belly has just the right amount of fat on it to give it GREAT taste and not feel like you were chewing through fat. The brisket, pulled pork and chicken were great. The Beef Brisket on the sandwich was awesome; thick slices that were good and firm but easy to eat as a sandwich without getting messy. The baked beans tasted great but a bit pasty..I am used to a little more sauce in the beans. I’m not a fan of cole slaw but wanted to try it after falling in love with Machine Shed - Des Moines slaw; red Cole slaw was pretty good. I will substitute it in the future for...oh I don’t know, more brisket, or pork, or chicken, or pork belly. The corn bread was really good as well. It was a GREAT meal, thanks guys!

Went to Red Coal BBQ Family Restaurant for our first breakfast of the new year! AMAZING food and service! We were seated promptly. Being our first time for breakfast here we took a bit of time to decide what we wanted and our waiter Joe was very patient with us. We ordered the breakfast curds for an appetizer, and the cowboy skillet (with fruit, there were pears, clementines, bananas, and grapes!) and eggs Benedict (topped with brisket!) for our meals. Also pictured assuming to be homemade green chili hot sauce (SO GOOD, 100% recommend). Ended up tipping the bill, as these guys definitely deserved it! thank you for the amazing experience!

Wonderful gathering spot for a family gathering! The food was SO good...especially the smoked brisket. I had the Lone Star Burger and it was the best burger I've had in a long time. The place was very clean and had nice clean bathrooms. The only minus was that they were out of mushrooms, so my mom didn't get her mushroom and Swiss burger. However, Owner Brian Moscowitz (sp?) didn't charge us for her burger. And then our wonderful server Tucker brought out a huge bouquet of flowers for my mom who had just turned 85. It was a wonderful meal and wonderful service and we will DEFINITELY return!

One of the most delicious sandwiches I've had in a long time. I got the PBLT and loved how thick the bacon was and how tasty the fries were. Their BBQ sauce is incredible, and I say that as someone who usually lives in South Carolina. Very good food.

My husband and I and our daughter went to Red Coal last night and we were blown away! Our daughter got the pulled pork sandwich, French fries, and Mac and cheese and she absolutely loved it! My husband and I were able to barter a sample from her so we could try it and it was delicious! Pork was perfectly done and the bun was fresh! My husband and I both got the brisket dinner. We've smoked our own brisket and had brisket from friends and family and other establishments but Red Coals Brisket blew them out of the water. It was so tender and juicy and cooked to perfection! The French fries were great too. The seasoning on the French fries were a great change to just normal fries we've had around eau claire. There was a man there working, were not sure if he was the manager or the owner but he was more than willing to talk to my husband and I about their processes on the smoking the meat and he even showed up the smoker set up and told us about it. Wait staff was extremely lovely and absolutely loved that they checked on us but didn't hover while our mouths were full. The establishment looked beautiful and was very clean. Background music was absolutely perfect. It was a great experience with amazing food, and we will definitely be back! This is now our favorite BBQ location in Eau Claire!

Went there for breakfast yesterday with a few friends and wow. The service was excellent. I don’t think enough people know they have breakfast and it’s so good! I took pictures of the menu since it didn’t appear to have a breakfast menu when I looked it up.
