Fabulous food! Fabulous service! Breathtaking view! Fabulous prices! We are never disappointed when we go here! Charlie was our waitress and she was very attentive, friendly and efficient. Another great meal! Amazingly not at all busy for a Saturday. Prices have increased a couple dollars per meal, however the food is still fabulous and service exceptional.

I live within a mile of this riverside joint and been here since 2005. When I first moved to the area we ate here a lot because it was so close. At some point I imagine the new wore off and visits became less frequent. Tonight my wife and I went to Stumpknockers and I must say that it is every bit as impressive today as it ever was. The oyster platter was amazingly good and the oysters large as the menu describes them. My wife had the twin pork chops knowing one would serve us both at lunch tomorrow. The appetizer was the best Ahi Tuna we’ve had which is saying a lot considering my favorite was in up North Congratulations to you and the staff Tom! Very nice job tonight.

We had dinner at Stumpknockers the end of June, 2023. We arrived and fortunately they were not very busy. We were seated and had a decent view of the water. We decided to sit inside, even though it probably would have been nicer outside. The restaurant has a nice, in the woods, cabin type atmosphere and frankly reminded me a lot of back home a while back. Our server was named Jamie and you could tell it wasn't his first rodeo. Jamie did a good job with his serving duties and making us feel welcome. We ordered fairly quickly. It would have been faster, but we were not ready quick enough. The food came out and here's where we differ from a lot of other reviews that I read before we visited Stumpknockers. Honestly, it might have been an off day or something. But both of us only found the food to be okay. It wasn't bad, but wasn't anything all that great either. Tastes do differ. The food all seemed just a little bland to us. We both said that maybe we should have went with fried instead of Sautéed. Again, maybe it was just an off day. The hushpuppies were very good. But the rest of our seafood dinner wasn't as good as we were expecting after reading the reviews. Maybe if we try again sometime, we might have a different experience. Parking was kind of like going to a small fair, with folks parking in different areas in different ways. But everyone seemed to make due. At that point, there was a women that was brought in in a wheel chair. They had to bring her in backwards because they had trouble getting her over the threshold. So it's not the easiest place for that. But for the most part, it's a nice place for a meal, or to sit out at a nice outside bar and tip a few. I'm sorry that I wasn't more positive on the food, but I need to be honest. Maybe it would be different for you or us if we get a chance to try Stumpknockers again.

It was a great & amazing 1st time at this restaurant. A beautiful & blessed area right on the river to eat & enjoy the evening. Our waitress Gabrielle was super sweet & attentive. Such a sweet heart she is. And the people around super nice that a woman offered to take a pic of me & my hubby. Food was super duper delicious. Most definitely coming back.
