Small hole in the wall, we made an order to go. We got there and there were 2 other people in line and all tables were full. While we waited (about a minute) I noticed they sell pizza by the slice and saw others people’s pizzas. They looked and smelled fantastic! We ordered a Cuban sandwich. It was the best I’ve ever had. Lots of all ingredients in just the right portions. I’ll be back to try the pizza. Fantastic!

Hole in the wall, but great little place. Pizza was very good, thin crust, crispy, good amount of ordered toppings. Definitely wood fired. Cuban sandwich done well, hearty, plenty of meat, all the rest of the correct ingredients, and hot pressed. There was a little wait but I was informed of this before ordering. Food was ready faster than stated wait time. Staff really nice. I was met with a big, happy smile and very welcoming greeting. I was headed from Palm Harbor to Fort Walton on US19. I stopped at Subway to get a sandwich. After my purchase, the worker at Subway an I were talking about restaurants in the area. She suggested The Pizza Joint for a future visit. I was intrigued enough from her recommendation that I decided to go ahead and drive out of my way over to Dunellen and check it out. I’m very glad that I did. Place is a Must-Try spot. I will 100% come back again

They make NY style pizza in a wood fired oven. Anyone who appreciates good pizza knows pizza cooked in a wood or coal fired oven just hits differently. They do have some slice offerings, and you can also get the whole pie. I've been here a couple of times now. So far, every slice I've tried was great. Fairly priced, decent sized, and they don't cheat you on the toppings. They reheat them in the wood fired oven, so they come out piping hot with that extra crispness that comes from that second bake, a trademark of good pizza sold by the slice. I especially enjoyed the slice of white pie. They also offer a 7" two topping for $7.50, which is perfectly sized for one person. They do offer sandwiches and wings as well, with pasta only offered on Fridays (the only real negative I have for this place). The dining is pretty cozy, with only a few tables, so you have to time when you go otherwise it's a full house with your order having to be to go. No soda fountain but they do have drinks in an upright cooler. Soda by the can, tea in a bottle, few other offerings, and cans of assorted San Pellegrino (good stuff). They twice bake their chicken wings in the same oven as the pizzas, and I do encourage you to try them blackened. The blackened seasoning is a dry hub with lots of great flavor, and the wings are as crispy as being fried and just as tender. When they pull them from the oven, a wonderful aroma fills the whole place (which is what prompted me to give them a try). The staff is always very friendly and courteous. A great experience overall if you find yourself near them and need to get a meal or snack. One of these days I'll remember get some pictures before I eat (it all just comes out looking and smelling so wonderful you easily forget about your phone). Went back and took some pictures.

This is the most phenomenal pizza in the world, including Italy. I never thought I would find a pizza I love more Pietana in Lexington Kentucky, but this is it! I don't know if that's a yeasty crust or what, but I don't think I could ever get enough of that. If I only had one food that I was allowed to eat for the rest of my life, it would be their Buffalo chicken pizza. Super nice staff. Quick and attentive. When you pull up, it looks like a shady little hole in the wall next to a shady little gas station, but go in anyway! It's also a little out of the way, but totally worth it! I wish these owners would open other locations. I would be 400 lb if it was closer to me.

The Pizza Joint Wood Fire Pies makes absolutely outstanding pizza! We ordered 2 large pies (one new school margherita & one veggie) and they were excellent! Additionally, its worth mentioning how pleasant and friendly the staff were, and they were the cherry on top of the entire experience. 10/10 would recommend as the best pie in citrus county! Thank You for a delicious lunch!

On vacation with hub, camping at the Rock Crusher RV park in Crystal River Fl, we heard from several campers about wood fired pizza and restaurant iInverness, short drive from our campground. Been Pizza junkies all our lives and just had to take a drive and check things out! Nice drive out in rural Inverness about 20min but was it worth every mile we drove!! I would use your GPS or you might drive right pass it like we did! Located next to a gas station, party store but they have their own entrance. Small place with 2 tables outside and 4 tables on one side of the restaurant with bathrooms offered. The other side of restaurant is the kitchen and the wood fired stove. You have a cool view of the pizza making and the process of cooking it! You enter and place your order at the window and if lucky grab a table and they bring out your food to you. They have a refrigerator with soda, ice tea, bottled water, juice, no alcoholic beverages. You can go next door and purchase beer, wine, etc or bring your own cooler with drinks, too cool! They only take CASH!! When done eating, put your leftovers in a box and take it home for breakfast! Pizza for breakfast, yes please!! Everyone is so darn friendly and nice, very casual and they play 70’s, 80’s music over the speaker. Make sure you start a punch card, when filled up you get any pizza of your choice!! FREE! Also you can purchase single big fold over pieces of their great New York style pizza! No delivery!! Friday they have pasta specials and sell out early. Great salads, wings, huge homemade sandwiches also! On Thursday they have double stamp on your card day for the future free pizza!! Check out this hidden gem with a cult following, if you are fussy about the crust being browned, do not come here!! That’s what Wood fired pizza is, cooked in a wood burning receptacle and people love the smoky flavor and crust/ you have been warned!!! You must give this place a try, you will turn into a Pizza Joint junkie like my hub and I!🍕Debbie and Bob, Mich, Go Blue!

Pizza Joint and pizza is what you get. Nothing fancy nothing flashy just some good pizza from an unlikely spot. Don’t let the location scare you off.
