Our go to spot for an excellent meal. Everything on the menu is great and the specials are on point! The cocktails are special and the staff is knowledgeable, kind and accommodating!
Great food, wine and atmosphere is sexy and classy... love the back garden area...
This is a lovely spot in Dobbs Ferry with a patio you must sit in for dinner. Only 4 stars because the food is quite expensive for what it is and where the restaurant is. Burrata was good but far too firm and the burger was tasty but had to pay for any kind of toppings. The atmosphere is incredible and the staff were so kind and let us sit and chat for a long time. Also constant water refills which is a sign of great service. Almost no vegetarian options on the small menu which is disappointing.
Lovely backyard seating available with lights strung and plants...very charming. Service was a bit slow...food was very nice.
So delicious! The challah French toast with the fresh fruit and whipped cream was absolutely amazing! Accompanied by some bacon and a sandia mia (their watermelon tequila drink) which were both really good.
The backyard garden was very pretty - very green with hanging vines. Was a very cool, laid back vibe :) can’t wait to come back!
Great customer service! Food was 8/10. OpenTable hasn't updated their menu so don't rely on that (no fixed brunch deal).
Great place. Yummy cocktails and good service. Sat at the bar and had a great time. Did three courses. Really enjoyed the mushroom toast and the pasta.
Nice dinner Sunday evening. Good array of interesting dishes and specials. Service was very friendly and helpful.
Great cocktails, food, ambiance and service!
My husband and I chose to grab some drinks after hearing high praise from an employee at crespo whiskeys down the street. We planned to stop for one cocktail - that one turned into several pours and plates. Highly recommend everything we had : chicken liver mousse, smoked trout dip, Harpers burger and thee best cocktail I've ever had, Vieux carre. She wasn't the bartender but she created an full experience with one drink! Hearing her tell us the history of this particular cocktail and watching her like a true artist at work putting together this cocktail was great. We're looking forward to returning to Harper's with out a question anytime we're near.
** If you enjoy a good neat whiskey, try the van winkle!
not my first time here, but came again for restaurant week and was reminded why Harper’s is maybe the best restaurant in Westchester. we ordered the fried brussels sprouts (you need to get this just trust me) and the poached calamari to start. calamari was perfectly tender and well dressed. then we got the rainbow trout and the fried duck. rainbow trout tastes like health and wellness in the best way possible and the fried duck is like the ultimate joy of hedonism except it doesn’t even feel that excessive bc it doesn’t sit heavy in your stomach and the duck just wants to fall apart in your mouth so it’s just right yaknow? then we finished with the blood orange sorbet and the salted caramel pot de crème which tastes the way a $7000 plain white tee hangs, it’s unassuming but also luxurious and perfect. the sorbet was also tart and amazing, great texture.
tl;dr eat at harper’s you won’t regret it

Let's start with the most important part - the food is absolutely delicious! The menu is updated often, but you can taste the passion that goes into making the food. The appetizers are a nice way to prepare for the main course - we had the clams which were prepared to perfection. I had the beef cheeks which were a new addition to the menu - they absolutely melted in my mouth and released the flavor within. (Don't worry if you don't eat meat, there are non-meat, but delicious options.) The service was quick and attentive.
But don't forget desert. There are a number of options and all were tasty.
Amazing food! Delicious combinations and they always seem to have something in season. I like how they try and get locally sourced stuff too. Chef/owner is hilarious and reminds me of Jeremy White.
