Half Moon

Located right on the water, this place has so much more to offer than just great views. We came for brunch, and the food was simply amazing. I had the French Toast with a side of bacon, and it was fresh, tasty, and very filling. I particularly liked that they did not skimp on the whipped cream. Many in our party had the Belgian Waffles which also was a huge portion covered with fresh fruit. Service was friendly and attentive. As a bonus, I was really impressed with the photography skills of our waiter, who took great shots of us from multiple angles. Great contemporary atmosphere makes this an excellent choice for both families and couples. Highly recommend for a more upscale dining experience.

The atmosphere is very chill, dimly lit in some areas, which contributed to the feeling that you were the only ones there. We had the octopus appetizer, which was very tasty. We had the steak frites which was absolutely delicious. It looks like a favorite because I noticed alot of people ordered that. We also had the filet mignon that had this really good sauce that accompanied it. I'd definitely go back there, maybe in the summer months where you can sit outside with views of the Hudson. I recommend!

Perfect environment even on an October Rainy day. I wonder Can a non Italian group do justice to Italian food and service. It compromised on family style appetizers, main dish was at most sub par and lacked the choice. Chicken always easy to mess up. People at service did not care or note the request carefully to take small orders. I still love the place and will try with smaller group and more menu options. ❤️✌️

This was an unexpected gem, pocketed in the bay this wonderful establishment will be one I will return to for many moons to come. The gorgeous views and attentive staff are definitely something to come back for. Had calamari as a starter, it was slightly over cooked. Excellent flavor all the same. The remainder of items ordered were curated to evident precision.

I came back because I wanted to experience the summer vibe. I was there early spring to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday. I had a lunch reservation, but arrived early and was seated promptly. The food was good, but I was only given bread when I asked for it. Secondly, I was dining solo. A large party came and I believe my waitress gave more attention to them. At least, three other waitstaff members checked on me. It would have been nice for my server to mention, "so and so will be helping me out." I went to the bathroom while waiting for dessert and when I returned my napkin was taken. That was a little strange. The spoon was on the napkin and you lifted the spoon to take the napkin. I had the spareribs, rigatoni and blueberry peach crumbpie. The pie was tasty, but very small. The man opposite had the ice cream sundae and it looked delectable. I don't know if that was the ordinary look or it was birthday fabulous. I definitely think this is great place for a larger dining party to share the experience.

Walked in on a Friday night with no reservation. Waited about 40 minutes for an outside table, which was easy to do as the outside bar served us drinks and the view from the rear patio is about as good as it gets. Had broiled oysters, shrimp cocktail, pan seared scallops, and a flounder sandwich. All the food was excellent, the service was attentive and friendly, and the view....great spot. Wish I lived closer.
