Truly one of the best restaurants on Cape Cod! I had a phenomenal meal here with my family and my only regret is that I wasn’t hungrier (despite only having a late breakfast that day).
First off, a shoutout to our waitress, Celine. She was the best—she helped us with the menu and gave good suggestions. She was friendly and spent time answering our questions, and so our evening was definitely elevated with her there.
I think everyone loved their drinks. Ocean House has a great variety of cocktails (I got the painkiller which was my favorite and it came in a super cool glass). Then for starters, we got the wagyu dumplings and we split salads as well. The dumplings were perfectly cooked and super tasty with the sauce. It had a nice bite to it and I would definitely get it again next time. I also loved the gem salad, which had warm goat cheese, strawberries, and candied nuts. No complaints there!
For my main entree, I got the lobster tagliatelle and shared that with my mom who got the sea bass. Both were amazing. The pasta was rich and flavorful and came with shrimp and scallops in it, even. The sea bass was lighter and it paired nicely with the sauce, along with the vegetables and fingerling potatoes.
The desserts were equally spectacular. We tried the warm molten cake and the salted caramel Boston creme pie. The molten cake was as you’d expect: chocolatey and warm, and the coconut ice cream was perfect with it. The salted caramel dessert was also excellent because it wasn’t too sweet with the caramel. The flavors came together nicely with the chocolate for a nice cakey dessert. Hope to come back again this summer!
Very unique “Bento” Box with mixed seafood (lobster dumpling), tempura seabass! Very fresh seafood. The lobster linguine was had so much lobster, shrimp and scallops! Highly recommended restaurant in Cape Cod.
Amazing night! We had an awesome server named Deni who was incredibly intuitive with our needs, gave us recommendations, and was all around great. We had the lobster ravioli, Cobb salad, and calamari and they were all amazing. Super rich but nonetheless outstanding meal, would definitely come back here again!
Always a great meal, great cocktails, creative menu items, beautiful setting and ocean views on the patio. Great place for a nice date.
I feel compelled to write this review because I have never been to a restaurant where I was treated with as much respect, consideration, and friendliness as I experienced from Morgan and his staff last night at The Ocean House.
The restaurant sits on a beautiful location right on the water. My wife and I had our first chance for a dinner for two after several years, and we were delighted to see how attractive the restaurant was. From the valet to the front of house staff, everyone greeted us warmly. The waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and helped us to choose a menu that took our dietary considerations into account.
Throughout the night, we experienced delicious, unique, and innovative food. The mirin Chilean sea bass was a definitely a highlight. And to end the night, the blueberry pie dessert, although incredibly indulgent, was a decision we wouldn’t reserve.
We had a very minor snafu with a dietary issue, but it was immediately rectified, and Morgan the manager went out of his way to make us feel respected. I will go to this restaurant every time I come to Cape Cod, and will recommend it to each and every one of my friends. It is not hard to find a restaurant with good food; it is very hard to find a restaurant with amazing food and an amazing staff- we found that last night at The Ocean House. Thank you Morgan and team.
The calamari platter was unbelievable. It has pork belly shrimp and oysters and was lightly battered to perfection.
Amazing steak and seafood. Great views of the water. Super friendly and attentive staff. Cocktails made correctly. Amazing dessert choices. Also had an outdoor deck and bar.
Incredible views and delicious foods.
Make a reservation or get there early. Best fish and chips we had on cape, great cocktails, good service. We ordered some chorizo clams and they were amazing. Of course they had raw and cooked oysters too. The sunset views here were the best we had on the cape, with beautiful windows and clear ocean views.
Not cheap, but so worth the indulgence of food and the atmosphere is hard to top. Never have I had a bad experience here.
Celebrated our 40th anniversary with impeccable service by our server Heidi, scrumptious courses including delicious appetizers, Chilean Sea Bass, a Greek salad with chicken & we especially enjoyed the strawberry shortcake for dessert!!! Cheers to the Chef and his staff!!
If on the Cape pick a time to visit - you will not be disappointed! Make reservations early!!!
