Seriously finding this cafe was amazing. We were tired and HUNGRY! There was lots of bike parking right off the trail. The staff was very friendly and the food was good. The grilled cheese was great but the onion rings were amazing! It can’t get very crowded so be prepared to wait.
This place was hopping! Tons of people and only two bathrooms. Why is the women's line always longer than the men's?! And to let you know, its exactly the same! Yes, I did, I used the men's room, I just couldn't hold it any longer and I don't care! Food line was super long and then you had to wait even longer to get the food. And we just odered hot dogs and their "famous" chocolate cake, it was just cake, not famous worthy, cake is always good though. Otherwise, perfect location being the half way point. Nice picnic area. Just don't wonder due to it is a small town, children can get lost. Thank you to the bike patrol man for fixing my husband's bike! Great to have them on the trails.
This place is kind of mid-way on the creeper trail from Whitetop to Damascus. The food was good and the service was quick. The chocolate cake with ice cream was awesome!
Good stop on the Virginia Creeper Trail. Great place to grab a burger, hot dog, or a number of other sandwiches. Leave room for chocolate cake or a scoop of Hershey's ice cream. The staff is friendly and efficient.
Good food, clean bathrooms, but it was packed out. Took about 30 min to get food. But, a good stop on the creeper trail.
Love this place. It's half way down the VA Creeper trail so we always stop for lunch. Everything from a bowl of beans n cornbread to grilled chicken with pineapple. And did I mention their chocolate cake is world famous? Don't miss this gem. Usually packed but worth the wait.
Super cool location, on the Creeper Trail! Parking area full of bikes:) The menu does not have much for healthful options so I did not eat but the unsweet tea was great and the seating was comfortable! Very neat concept!
Fast friendly service and the cake is pretty good too. I took mine down the mountain to Damascus before sharing with my family. They packaged it up so I could fit it in my back pack.
