Shan's Jade Cafe

Decent quality - unfortunately you have to pay gourmet prices at this “diner” style Chinese restaurant. This place is located in one of the government buildings and caters to the business crowd but they have no lunch menu. Odd, they only have dinner sized combinations. The food is good and cooked to order in view of the customer BUT it is not worth $4.00 for an order of two smaller sized egg rolls. It’s $4.00 for a small side of lo mein (plain spaghetti with tons of garlic and oil sauce) and don’t expect to find any veggies in your rice. You ever hear of $0.75 for a side of hot oil? You want won ton soup? You’ll pay for just two won tons in a container of liquid. Acceptable prices if this was more than fast food chinese. Shans attempts to charge as much as possible for the least amount of ingredients used really puts a bad taste in my mouth after eating here despite the food being decent overall.
