Best fajita nachos I have ever had. I have had the Mexican hamburger, tapeño soup, chicken soup, and mexican taquitos. All were really good. Way better than Jaliscos, Acapulco or Kikos. The flour tortillas taste just like they do in Mexico, the corn ones do too but are a little on the thick side. Probably the best Mexican food I have had in Corpus, coming from someone who grew up in Mexico.
Nice place. Nice atmosphere once you get past the gum chewing hostess & the excessively loud Mexican game show music. The food is a little bland and & it's hard to get any salt out of the shaker. I had Jaime's Plato, (twice), & unfortunately both times the taco shell was very stale & the rice was badly clumped. The service was good though my waiter forgot my side of guacamole until I reminded him. The first time I had this plate I asked if the meal came with tortillas & was told that management " was getting away from that". The second time I asked I was told that they could get me some, as if it were an abnormal request. The charro beans are excellent as are the chips & salsa. My enchilada looked re-heated but tasted ok. The service was good & the place was clean. I will probably return due to the charro beans & service. I do not recommend arriving 1/2 an hour before they close or you may get "re-heated leftovers".
Great service, very clean place with awesome.atmosphere. I didn't think the food was all that spectacular but it wasn't bad either of the times I went.

AWESOME Green Enchiladas!!. One of the best Mexican restaurants in town! Their green enchiladas are to die for!! If you get there with a large group and you have to wait...hey, there's a cool little lounge area by the bar where you can sit and enjoy their awesome margaritas while you wait. My friends always want to come here and say "Let's go Senor Jaime it up!". Go for it!
Really good food! Service was excellent! Everyone so nice and very attentive. Will definitely eat here again next time I'm in the area.
Very good service, food is of generous portions, desserts are decadent, waitstaff is very attentive and show pride in their establishment. The avacado/guacomole is made fresh at your table. An enjoyable dining experience
Ordered the chicken enchiladas they were excellent and the rice and beans were good too. The atmosphere was very dim so it made it difficult for my parents to read the menu. Although the staff was very nice and friendly there wasn't anyone available to to seat us so we sat ourselves. Then it took 20 minutes just to be greeted and have our drink order taken. Just very slow paced with the service.
My wife and I took her mother out for lunch, and we loved the meal. Ryan was a fantastic server. He was very friendly and helpful, the food was tasty and large portions, and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend to anyone that wants great Mexican food and a very enjoyable experience.
Kinda pricey, however the portions are pretty huge. Good food. EXCELLENT wait staff.
Still good. Still expensive. One thing that might disappoint you is that the chips and salsa are NOT complimentary like they are at most Mexican restaurants. Also...there on NO FREE REFILLS if you order lemonade to drink.
Wonderful bartender and great food. I'm glad i was able to stop by for their soup/taco combo. Perfect amount of food when you're tired. The micheladas are pretty dang tasty. I think I'll be a regular after today.
I have been buying the Chicken and ground beef quesadillas for months now but my husband went to order the woman there told him that they didn’t served that there. Very rude and disrespectful. The owner/manager was not there but I will make it point to let the manager know. I love the food there and willing to spend my money there so I don’t understand why the employee there was being so rude. She’s giving Señor Jaime a bad reputation and pushing customers away.
Best authentic Mexican food I've eaten in a long time and the sopapillas are the best after dinner desert. The atmosphere is very relaxing and our waiter Raymond was very attentive even though it was a busy night.
Everything here is delicious, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is great, and the bathrooms are clean. What more can you ask for?

Great place to eat, the salsa is a little spicy for me, but my friends all love the heat!! The creamy chicken flautas are so good. The sopapillas , yummy and warm. A nice way to end the meal with. Very nice atmosphere and service was great, will definitely be back
We have had almost every birthday here in the last 10 years. Food is affordable and delicious. Atmosphere is very nice including the white table clothes and professionally dressed wait staff.
If you order online you go through a third-party delivery service even if you're picking it up yourself they increase the price of your food 30 to 40%. Why can we not order pick up directly from the restaurant
