The best in town, hands down. For appetizers we had the Ahi Tuna Tartare, Carnitas and Shrimp Skewers, all were delish. We took advantage of their happy hour specials if you sit at the bar section which is huge. You can sit at the actual bar or tables around the piano. We had two fabulous bottles of wine, a Flora Springs Savingnon Blanc and a Dry Creek Zinfandel, amazing. We were so full that we shared a 12 oz filet mignon with a side of mushrooms. What a treat. And to end the evening in a sweet way we had the chocolate mousse. Our waitress was great. The general manager, Etta Butts made our evening extra special by stopping by and making sure all was perfect. If you are visiting and want to eat the best steak in town while enjoying the gorgeous view, this is the place and if you live here, like we do, make it a point to visit this food paradise at least 3 times a year.

We drove over an hour from Seadrift to explore Corpus Christy and found this gem. It was a night out away from the kids and it was a fantastic experience! We called as we were driving in and reserved a table, the staff was very nice over the phone. Once we arrived the staff continued to be very warm, inviting, and friendly. Our server was great! His name was Thomas. He guided us through drinks, pairings, and the menu. There were many things we had not tried before on this menu. He gave helpful suggestions for how to have things cooked to our liking was was very knowledgeable and also helpful in drink pairings with our meals. The key lime pie was amazing! I dont say that lightly! The view was beautiful. Despite some of the reviews I just read about this place going down hill, all I can say is we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would gladly visit again!

We had the pleasure of savoring their Scallops, and they were nothing short of amazing! Even Chef Gordon Ramsay would be impressed. The Republic of Texas has swiftly become my preferred restaurant in Corpus Christi. I implore you to try their Filet Mignon; it's simply flawless! And if you happen to have room left, their cheesecake is a delightful conclusion to the meal.
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of a memorable date night or simply looking to relish an exceptional meal.
First time dining in here. Christina took care of us. Service was superb. Foods were excellent. We got what we requested, seats with a view. Nice not to worry where we needed to park, valet parking is so convenient. We will absolutely return next time we come to visit CC.

This was our first time going. Highly recommend this place for the view and excellent food. Everything was very tasty and drinks perfectly mixed. Service as amazing and food delicious and fresh. The waitress very kind and helpful I don’t remember the name of the guy but it was Saturday night. I'd definitely go back to try the rest of the menu. The valet parking , hostess and other employees are all very classy and well trained.
Nick, our waiter was the best, he made us feel so welcome and was super helpful in helping us choose our drinks and food for the evening. He is so knowledgeable and professional. We loved everything he recommended and tried a few more drinks he thought we should try. We definitely enjoyed our trip here our dinner and drinks and will come back when we are back in town again. This place is amazing! It's definitely a place up go for special occasions, due to the price. But the food is insanely good and the view is gorgeous! My husband is one of the best chefs that I know, but I have never had shrimp like the Shrimp Republic. It was juicy, almost like it was injected with butter. There are just no words for the sauce... it is something that everyone should experience at least once in their life. Everything else was delicious too, but I just can't get over the shrimp!
We had the crab fondue as an appetizer, which was very good. Even the bread and butter was better than a lot of places. We got the brussel sprouts for a side... My husband got the Buffalo Ribeye with a marrow crust. I really liked it, he loved it... but nothing beat my shrimp! And to end; since we were there, celebrating my promotion, they gave us a delicious mousse with berries.
We celebrated our birthdays here and it exceeded all of our expectations! From the view, to the food, the drinks, our server Vanessa (who was AMAZING), the live piano music, the service, the atmosphere, and even the Valet! It was top notch excellence! The 12oz Filet Mignon was so tender my boyfriend used the back of his knife to cut it and then it just melted in your mouth! Cannot say enough great things! We will definitely be back!!

Dinner here is amazing the food is better then expected and the view is amazing. I would recommend getting reservations for 6-7 so when you get seated and get dinner you can watch the sunset. It was a very nice experience.
