The Simple Greek

I ordered takeout for my grandparents and I here on a quick visit to Columbus. The food was good, but not great. We felt the value for the quality, amount of food, and price just did not add up. One of the bowls was made incorrectly which was aggravating, but 2 out of 3 were fine and I didn’t check the bowls before I left. Not sure we’ll return but it satisfied us enough for lunch. Maybe ordering in yields bigger portions. Just as a simple comparison to paint the picture, a burrito bowl at Chipotle costs $8-$10 and you will easily get 2x the amount of food.

They have a nice downtown vibe. I had the pita with traditional gyro meat. The meat and tzatziki had good flavor. The falafel wasnt quite cooked right. It was a bit over done on the outside and a bit too mushy in the middle. I also thought it was a tad pricey. $15 for a pita, a few falafel bites and a drink. All in all I liked it. The flavors are great. Ill come back for sure.

Had a traditional pita with Greek fries. Customer service was excellent and friendly and they were very willing to let me try samples of anything. The Greek fries were great, but I chose the spicy red sauce with my pita which unfortunately caused the whole pita bread to be soggy, but I think it would've been better had I chosen a different sauce. Would come back and try something different sometime.
