Wonderful food, atmosphere and service. So glad we tried this place. We ordered every tapas offered and 2 shareables (Steak and wine flight and candied brussels…both amazing). Highlight of tapas were scallops and the mushroom Wellington. Really great, we’ll be back!
El Lugar was *AMAZING* We tried the scallop, the garlic mushrooms, the squid, brussel sprouts, and the steak flight. Everything was absolutely delicious. I cannot begin to recommend the squid and steak flight enough. It was absolute perfection. The Service was spot on. It was perfect for a date night and we cannot wait to go back. Others around us had things like the fondue that looked delicious and we have a list to try but hands down the steak (paired beautifully with the wine) and squid are must haves.
Tiny little plates of good food. Reminded me a lot of being in Spain! Everybody is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. The room inside is small so make sure you get a spot. The walls are all covered in a three piece drawing of boats and a town, created by a local artist. It is definitely pricey but I would say, worth it.
We love this place. The food is always delicious and the service is always friendly. I've tried almost everything and haven't had a bad meal yet! Good drinks too.
The kind of place you HOPE stays quietly successful for a long while but NEED to share because Columbus needs more actually terrific dining experiences. Layed back but romantic atmosphere with sensible live music is a nice touch but the food…Candied Brussels Sprouts were exceptional and the mushrooms w/ thyme had my wife and I fighting over who got the last bite. The stake and wine flight is cunning, delicious and aside from having room for creative license, was entirely satisfying. Great service and a memorable experience.
Had extra time on a Sunday and stopped in since I always see El Lugar. Started with a smokey old fashioned and then had 2 tapas before the steak and wine pairing
We had the most amazing evening - food, wine, service and surroundings where just perfect 🥂
El Lugar and Alpine are both great choices rolled into one cool, laid back space. The patio is a feature here, great place to sit, sip, and take in the peaceful German Village neighborhood scene.
The food menus both have quality Spanish and German options, an odd concept, I know, but don't that discourage you. The chefs know what they're doing, I've never had a dish that wasn't worth reordering.
Two different restaurants together: German and Spanish. Outside seating was pleasant.
Fun tapas bar with Estrella on tap - felt like we were back in Spain! Don’t miss the steak and wine paring
