Love everything in this place especially the sambuca!
An exhaustive menu? Nope. Fresh local ingredients? I don't think so. Ambiance? Definitely not. What Piece of Chicago does offer is the finest cheesesteak I've had in or outside Philly, and for only five bucks. I recently moved from OTE to Hilliard and still make the drive across town to get my hands on one of these bad boys (get it with extra hot peppers, ya jabroni.) Their pizza (which is actually Ohio and not Chicago style) might not be my first recommendation in the area, but it's tasty and CHEAP and stays really well overnight. Their catfish nuggets are great as well. You can tell this is a neighborhood favorite and I see why.
I gave the atmosphere two stars only because of the restaurants location and the drug activity that goes on around the restaurant. My two star rating for atmosphere has nothing to do with the restaurant solely itself. The location does suffer as a result of the activity that goes on in the Mount Vernon plaza.
Outstanding food that tastes like "Mama" used to make. Amazing food, friendly service, great prices. The "star" of our meal was pumpkin pie. Out of this world delicious.
We also ordered sweet potato pie. Ordering two or three desserts next time! One taste and it was "back home sweet potato pie" from my childhood.
As the late Tina Turner might say, the food, the service, the pie are "Simply the best!"
Note: We placed our order online for pickup. They texted when it was ready--a full 20 minutes before it was supposed to be ready! Pickup was super easy. No wait. I just showed up and the order was ready. Amazing? You betcha'! This operation is a 100% winner.
Decent large extra cheese pizza. Their pizza sauce has a kick to it. The cheese sticks were decent. The service was professionally formal. Convenient parking.
The food price is perfect for what you get the nuggets weren’t to rave about but the pizza by the slice hits the nostalgia spot. So many desserts I can’t wait to try them all . If you wanna eat a lot on a budget this is the place to go . They have tons of options .
I liked their wings! Good wings for a great price. I also seen that you could get two 6inch subs for $5. They are inexpensive. You can also use EBT/SNAP cards here as well I believe. The wait is a little longer but your food is fresh & hot when you get it so its worth the wait. Give em a shot!

Very tasty choice for pizza! The Extra large meat lovers pizza was very good and a lot of food! I will be back there to try out not just pizza but there chicken and deserts.
Good pizza at a really good price. I ordered four XL pizzas for my students, and even though there was a mix-up with the order, Sue made sure the pizzas got to me quickly and easily. My students enjoyed the pizza, and I loved that they use beef instead of pork for the pepperoni. It's been years since I've eaten pepperoni because everyplace uses pork. I'll order from here again because the price is a real plus when you're ordering for a large group.
Great food and service. Had dinner tonight and ordered the deep dish pizza. Very good. Ryan was accommodating and friendly. Will be back!
I love love love the superman ice cream they have!! They have several flavors and its Hershey Brand, so what can I say, its my favorite brand.
The staff is super friendly, good people.
Love this place... I can eat without worrying if it's pork products in the food. (No pork at all) great verify of foods, cheaper than most.... Fast service and the cakes are a must try.... Very nice people VERY
